We played and learned with Playskool in this sponsored post. When we head out of the house there are essential items we know we will need. As parents to two we’ve learned exactly what our kids want when we are traveling. Honestly, it’s pretty simple too. They want snacks, drinks, and entertainment. As parents, we know we can’t forget diapers, wipes, and sunscreen. This is the recipe for a great day out and about. Simple, huh? What essentials do you take when traveling with the … [Read more...]
My Accident Prone Three Year Old Boy
My son always falls down. Literally every single day. It might be due to the fact that he never walks anywhere. He runs -- all day long. He also doesn't pay attention to what he is doing a lot of the time. His knees are constantly scabby; his legs are always bruised up. The amazing thing to me - a girly girl through and through - is he doesn't seem to "learn" at all. He still runs in those darned flip flops; he still rides his balance bike way too fast; and he still doesn't pay close attention … [Read more...]
Minimizing and Organizing Toys: It Feels Great!
So the last two months, we've slowly gone through our house and minimized our toys. They add up so quickly don't they? As a blogger, toys seem to add up even more quickly. I am learning to say no to toy reviews more frequently now - we just have too much stuff. Organizing toys is easy when there isn't so many of them. Less is more, right? We got rid of a lot of items, posted them on our local Buy, Sell, Trade Facebook group and made a few hundred dollars. Less toys and more money? That … [Read more...]
Moms, I Know You’re Exhausted. Trust Me It’s Worth It.
This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. Life with one child was pretty darn easy. Relatively speaking, of course. Before we had my son, my daughter was four and half years old. She was potty trained, out of our family bed, able to entertain herself really well, and could be reasoned with on most days. Then, we decided she needed a sibling - a friend, a buddy, a pal. When she was four and a half years old and sweet as … [Read more...]
A White Shirt? Really?! (Cleaning Toddler Clothes)
Our local big box store had an amazing sale on 3 piece toddler boy clothes. We were able to buy a t-shirt, polo shirt, and a pair of matching shorts in a popular skater boy brand for a reasonable price. I can never pass up a good deal - especially on toddler clothing. I don't know what I was thinking when I bought one with a white t-shirt. White! Just call me crazy. How in the world will I keep that thing clean the rest of Spring and Summer? Ugh! As you can see, my Little Man not only gets … [Read more...]
Potty Training Prep – the Must Haves
Potty training is an exciting time for toddlers and it can also be a stressful time for parents. We are in the very long process of potty training out two year old. I am constantly amazed at the difference between my daughter and my son. My daughter, by this age, wanted to be a big girl and start wearing underwear. My son? He could care less about being in diapers still. Now that we've transitioned to training pants, he still doesn't show much interest in going to the bathroom on our … [Read more...]
He’s Graduated to a Booster Seat!
Gone are the days of the high chair. Where is time going? We kept him in his high chair for a bit longer than we probably needed to. But honestly, we didn't have a booster seat for him and we weren't sitting at our kitchen table with him. Now, we've cleaned up our kitchen table and he has a new booster seat. And he LOVES it! (Does your kitchen table become a mess of papers, books, puzzles, and art supplies like mine? It's hard to keep up with it!) The kids love eating at the dinner … [Read more...]
