We are having the hardest time with our Little Man. I realize that two is a hard age. Really, it is much more difficult with this guy than it was with my Princess. He is meaner, more defiant, and very stubborn. We are at our wits end. I prayed for a really mellow second child - an easy going boy. I didn't realize that my Princess was our easy going child. She was so pleasant and easy to parent at this age compared to my Little Man. How did you make it through the toddler stage? We have … [Read more...]
Is Your Toddler Sick? Try Little Remedies
I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Little Remedies. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation. My son was sick last month. Thankfully, it lasted only a few days. But those few days, were not very fun. He had a hard time breathing at night, and he had a cough that was keeping him awake. Lack of sleep is one thing you'd think I'd be used to, but it was still a difficult time … [Read more...]
Toddler learning to ride? A balance bike is a must!
We are currently in the Tacoma, Washington area for my husband's work. We are staying at a nice RV park with our fifth wheel travel trailer and thankfully our paved road out front doesn't get to much traffic. It is just long enough of a road for the kids to have fun riding their bikes up and down the road. Yes, you heard me right, my 29 month old is riding his bike down the road everyday and loving it. You see, he has an awesome Strider Sport Balance Bike! I'll be honest. This is not his … [Read more...]

But nope. Not this guy. … [Read more...]
Pirate for Halloween? Here are some basic pirate words.
My son is a pretty big fan of pirates. He loves to climb up our play set in the backyard and pretend to be a captain of the ship. But not just any captain but a pirate captain. He calls himself a "bad guy". Ever on the look out for sharks too. My heart melts each time I spy on him and watch him play. This fall I was able to get him a new dress up costume from HABA. The Captain Charlie Pirate Costume is the perfect costume for my Little Man. He has been wearing it daily and loves to "speak … [Read more...]
Giving Back with Playskool
I wrote this review while participating in a campaign for Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Playskool. I received product samples to facilitate my party and review, and a promotional item to thank me for participating. I grew up pretty poor. I just didn't know it. I had toys but mostly played outside as a kid. I grew up on a reservation (still live here) and saw a lot of poverty and neglect. Toys weren't always at the top of parents lists when thinking of their children. Fast forward a … [Read more...]
Toddler boys are hard on their clothes, aren’t they?
One of my Little Man's shirts was thrown away today. It was stained and stinky - beyond all hope. It wasn't the first time we had to do this. Toddler boys are hard on their clothes, aren't they? Boys are messy. Period. Add that to the fact that kids grow fast, and as a parent you just don't want to spend a lot on toddler boys clothes. How do you keep your kids clothes clean and presentable? I love this Garanimals commercial because it just feels so true doesn't it? Because kids grow so … [Read more...]
