Travel Toys We Love!

August 9, 2015 By LaVonne

Spread the love

We played and learned with Playskool in this sponsored post.

baby travel essentials

When we head out of the house there are essential items we know we will need. As parents to two we’ve learned exactly what our kids want when we are traveling. Honestly, it’s pretty simple too. They want snacks, drinks, and entertainment. As parents, we know we can’t forget diapers, wipes, and sunscreen. This is the recipe for a great day out and about. Simple, huh?

What essentials do you take when traveling with the kids?

Playskool Stacking Cups

Really, to be honest, toys are very important for us to take when traveling. We can easily buy snacks and drinks for the kids at the gas station but their favorite toys must be packed up. Whether their in the car, at a family member’s home, attending an event, at church, or in a restaurant – they need to be entertained. Maybe it’s how we’ve raised them, maybe it’s their generation, but our culture gives children things to entertain them constantly and that’s ok with me. Travel toys top our list. We don’t have fancy hand held games and our kids aren’t old enough for their own cell phone but they do love to play. I for one believe play is important.

PLAYSKOOL STACK ‘N STOW CUPS

In our home, and especially with our Little Man, we’ve learned that simple is better. This space-saving stacking cups toy is so easy to pack up and take with us traveling. With a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes it is educational as well as fun. Stacking cups have always been a classic favorite toy for young children. I love how Playskool has redesigned this beloved toy into a fun lion with a rainbow mane that can go with us wherever we go. He even loves to play with it in the bath tub. My only request is that next time Playskool redesigns this toy that it be dishwasher safe. I’m lazy like that…{This toy is recommended for ages 9 months and up.}

PLAYSKOOL FOLD ‘N GO BUSY ELEPHANT BLUE

So this fun little guy is great for my son to bring to his grandparent’s house. The plush busy elephant allows for explorative play and also cuddling. There are lots of colors, textures, sounds, and 7 activities for him to enjoy. There is a mirror, squeaker, rattle, and much more! Best of all? This Elephant is machine washable. Score! When it’s time to pack up for your next adventure with the little one, you can quickly fold it up for easy storage and portability. Fun for baby, and easy for you – I say that’s a big win! {This toy is recommended for ages 3 months and up.}

    Those are neat, they weren’t out when my boys were younger. Now we always make sure to have lots of music and a tablet.

    We always had travel toys in the car. Even if you are only going to be in there for 10 minutes they need something to do!
