Decorate Your Own Edible Ornaments {not just for kids!}

This blog post is part of a paid SocialMoms and #HostessHoliday blogging program. The opinions and ideas expressed here are my own. We have had such a great holiday weekend. This is one of my husband's very few weekends off from church. (Minister's families know how that can be.) So our Thanksgiving holiday was awesome. Thursday we gave thanks to God, ate a huge feast with 30 family members, and cheered on our home team (Seahawks) for a big win. We put up our Christmas tree and … [Read more...]

Mexican Dinner Night Made Easy

We are currently on vacation with my parents and sister in Hawaii without my hubby. And I miss him. Like crazy. We are away from him for nine days. Before we left, we decided to have a dinner party all together. I like to keep things simple so I did an easy Mexican dinner for the family. Everyone loves Mexican in our family, so I made a take on enchiladas - Mexican Lasagna. I just layered the ingredients - enchilada sauce, corn tortillas, refried beans, cheese, a little more enchilada … [Read more...]

Caramel Apple Pizza for Family Movie Night

We made Apple Pizza this week for the first time. I was heading to the store with my sister and we were talking about fruit pizza and how we hadn't had that dessert for quite some time. She mentioned making it with refrigerated cinnamon rolls. Well that gave me the brilliant idea to use my canned apple pie filling on top with caramel sauce.   It was pretty simple. I unrolled the cinnamon rolls and cooked them for about 7 minutes on 350 degrees. I then topped the cooked cinnamon … [Read more...]

Macaroni and Havarti Cheese Recipe #HavartiParty

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Arla Dofino. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation. I planned a fun menu for our Seattle Seahawks NFL Thursday night game day opener a couple weeks ago. I decided to have vegetarian chili, macaroni and cheese, corn bread & vegetarian hot dog muffins and chips and cheese dip. Not just game day approved but also a kid approved menu … [Read more...]

Check out Vegetarian Breakfast Ideas for Dinner by LaVonne Long at Foodie.com Does your family like to eat breakfast for dinner? In our home, we love breakfast for dinner. Sometimes we'll make breakfast burritos, an omelet, pancakes, or a breakfast bake. In fact, growing up I remember when it was my dad's turn to make dinner. He always made my sister and I an egg, steak and cheese omelet. In tenth grade I became a vegetarian. Well, except for fish. Growing up on the Puget Sound in a … [Read more...]
