I am so happy. After two years of being the parent who puts their child to sleep, my wonderful husband has been putting my daughter to bed since she has been weaned. Can you believe that two weeks have gone by since I have last breast fed her? It amazes me still. The only time she cried was the first night. Please, Can I Get Some Sleep?
She is 21 months and is still not sleeping well. It is a rare occasion when she actually sleeps all night without waking up. The last week has been a horror though. Not sure if it is a phase, my husband says it must be. He tells me, "Don't get upset, she wants to sleep. She is frustrated too." Yeah, that does not help me though. Top Ten List: Isabella Style
1. Isabella went potty all on her own yesterday! When we woke up, I went to the bathroom and left her on the bed. She got down and came in. Pointing at her potty chair she started pulling off her diaper. (Which, sometimes unfortunately, is not a good thing.) I did help her sit on the chair correctly since sometimes she sits too far forward and makes a pee pee mess. As she was sitting she started to giggle which I knew meant that pee pee was coming out. I am trying to catch up on my scrapbook. I have only finished through April of 2008. So tonight I worked on it for a little bit. Isabella had other plans though. She wanted to look at all the pages. New Things Every Day
So, Isabella is sleeping with us and it has been getting difficult for me. She is waking up almost every hour and wants to eat to fall back to sleep. So we have been debating what to do. Put her in her bed? Use our playpen? Take a free crib from friends at Amazing Facts? We are just trying to decide. So the last two nights I decided to just let her wake up and not feed her. Good Girl Or Not?
We laughed today about Isabella's home personality and her public personality. Whenever we are out in public whether it be church, shopping, or visiting family and friends she is a delight. Everyone comments on what a happy baby she is. She almost never cries in public. Her whining and crying is reserved for home. Sleeping Beauty
I am so happy, Isabella is sleeping so much better this week. She is my sleeping beauty. I am hoping that the poor sleep phase at 8 months is now over. (Those weekly baby emails assured me it would soon pass.) We have had an exciting week! We are thrifty people. When we eat out, we almost always order water.
