I am so happy, Isabella is sleeping so much better this week. She is my sleeping beauty. I am hoping that the poor sleep phase at 8 months is now over. (Those weekly baby emails assured me it would soon pass.) We have had an exciting week!
We are thrifty people. When we eat out, we almost always order water. We like to add little to go packet of lemonade or something to our water. Well, one packet I found was a sugar free Hawaiian Punch that is Blue. I keep it our diaper bag since that goes with me everywhere.
Isabella got into one packet this last week at lunch. I was cooking and all of a sudden my husband says “Oh NO!” Then he starts laughing and carries Isabella into the kitchen. She has blue all over her mouth! And of course she is smiling away. She really liked that Blue powder!
Isabella meet Blue #5…
Blue#5 please meet Isabella!
Then two days later while Tyler and I were engrossed in something other than Isabella, we realized she was being awfully quiet. So we checked on her. Tyler’s drink from lunch was all over the front of Isabella’s white Roxy shirt, all over her blue shorts, and all over the carpet in two places. It was bright red!
We cannot leave anything unattended anymore! I am constantly trying to race her to the kitchen in the morning so she doesn’t get into Dj’s food or water. I have to remember the nightlight in the hallway – to cover the outlet. I can’t leave the fridge or cupboard open too long. I have to close all the doors in the hallway, especially the bathroom… so many things to remember. She is fast now, and very curious.
Today, I had a great time at Roseville Fairgrounds. They had a HUGE consignment of children’s items. I bought a cute pair of shoes for Isabella for $3, a like new Puma jumpsuit/tracksuit for $4, lots of videos for $1 or less, some cute tights for $1 or less and so much more. I didn’t even look at books or toys. I only looked in 12 to 18 months so I begged my husband to go back down tomorrow to look at the things I missed.
It was so wonderful! Of course, it was very difficult to maneuver around the aisles with Miss Isabella. I have to give single moms a lot of credit. It is hard to do things alone. When the hubby is with me he helps so much!
