After I had it out with God, after a long week of teething, an eye infection and a stomach bug, I really thought my Little Man would not get sick too. I mean God couldn't possibly allow a baby to get a stomach bug. Babies cannot puke and have diarrhea for 48 hours straight, right? When my Little Man woke up and vomited three times and also had terrible diarrhea, I knew. He caught the bug. I was angry. Here we are living by the beach and we can't get out. I begged God to protect him. But … [Read more...]
Family Travel to Indiana
Let me just say, traveling with 2 kids is a bit more difficult than traveling with one. This is our first seminar with our Little Man. At four months of age, he didn't do too bad. I just forgot how you must constantly keep a baby occupied on an airplane so they are quiet. I got used to my Princess being such a good traveler. So when you travel to Indiana, a mommy just can't watch the movie and ignore the baby... All 3 in my family have a virus too! Yep, we are that family. You know the one: 2 … [Read more...]
Sharing the Good News in Indiana
After 5 months of being home, the kids and I will accompany my husband to Indiana this week. We are all pretty excited about going to a great community in Indiana and sharing the good news of the gospel. That is what my husband does - gets invited to communities across North America to share the gospel with people who want to hear it. Lives are changed when people come out and study the Bible and people choose to be baptized. Simple as that. And it is such a blessing to our family to be a part … [Read more...]
Yahoo! Women Who Shine
Meet my sister-in-law Melanie. I have known her for 13 years and I can honestly say we are friends - good friends. She is a wonderful wife and mother to four great children. As a result, she had an MRI that showed a tumor in her brain. The news rocked our family to the core. About Yahoo! Women Who … [Read more...]
Marriage Quotes

Two hours of time spent with just my husband has been long overdue. Happy Anniversary, honey! Our secret of success is making God the center of our life. There really is something to the "Family That Prays Together, Stays Together" quote. Spending time on Pinterest one night, I re-pinned a bunch of … [Read more...]

Stage 2 Brain Tumor
While we are trying to finish last minute shopping today for Christmas (yes, we are that family who waits way too long!), I wanted to give everyone an update on our family. I mentioned before that my sister-in-law had a seizure Sunday before Thanksgiving which led to a CT and MRI that showed a brain tumor. After a long month of doctors, tests, medication and sleepless nights, she has been able to get it removed. The doctor (a very good doctor at UCLA) removed 90% of it and after pathology … [Read more...]
