Children’s Ministry: The Lords Prayer Bible Craft Bracelet
This week I taught a lesson on Disciples at our twice a month Adventurer Club. I have about 30 kids in grades 1-4 that I teach two Tuesdays per month. The Disciples lesson also covers The Lord's Prayer. With 30 kids, I like to have a variety of options for teaching. I prefer to set up three tables (or stations) and divide the kids evenly. We finished our Disciples Lapbook at one table. The second table featured a simple handprint prayer craft (above). This handprint craft teaches kids how to … [Read more...]
Plan for Prayer: Training and Strategies
When you become a parent, life can get so busy and stressful. I am sad to say there are many times that quality prayer time gets put on the back burner in my life. They give … [Read more...]
Powerless to EMPOWERED? Made to Crave Week 1

Kindergarten Homeschool: The Lord’s Prayer Resources
The last three weeks of Kindergarten homeschool we have been reciting The Lord's Prayer during Bible class. My daughter's favorite way to learn this passage of Scripture was making a Lord's Prayer mini book of her own. (Which she insists on keeping "forever" of course.) Her second favorite way to learn this Prayer is by singing the scripture songs. Scripture songs have always helped my husband and I to learn Bible verses. We love Hide 'em in Your Heart with Steve Green a lot. More Ways to Teach … [Read more...]
Heart Failure
In the midst of a sick baby (again!), we are having a serious family medical crisis. My sister in law Julie went into cardiac arrest Wednesday. After reviving her erratic heart, the hospital put her on ice and into a coma to reduce the damage to her brain. This more recent practice has had amazing results with patients who had no heartbeat for even 20 minutes or more! My own heart is hurting because not only am I stuck here in Washington with a sick baby but I feel like there is no way to help. … [Read more...]
