This time of year life just feels so much more busier. Here in the Long house we just finished our 6th week of homeschooling Kindergarten. We are flying out of Montreal back to the States and I am so excited to be heading home. We have fun traveling, but truly there is no place like home. We are not home long before we head out to Denver, CO. This time we are staying in a one bedroom hotel suite that has an indoor pool, internet, cable TV, and free breakfast each day. We are all excited about … [Read more...]

Handprint Butterfly Craft
In January, my Princess made a toilet paper craft at church - a butterfly that you could place a secret message in. She wanted to make it again for our craft time this last week. So we decided to turn it into a handprint butterfly craft. We have been saving our empty toilet paper rolls for craft time. She carefully rolled her black construction paper around the toilet paper roll and … [Read more...]
Handprint Easter Chick Preschool Craft
This week we read a story about a grandmother and granddaughter who were feeding the chickens. The hen just had chicks and the granddaughter could not see them under the wings. Grandma explained that the momma chick protected her little chicks under her wings when they were frightened, or when it was cold. She then shared a Bible verse from Psalm 91 - which my Princess and I are learning this week: He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings... Psalm 91:4 NLT We … [Read more...]
Dollar Store Easter Gift Bucket
When we went to the dollar store buy items to make a Easter Basket gift we also purchased some fun items to make these little mini Easter Gift buckets. We got three small white buckets in the package and decided to use the grass from the basket we made. After adding ears, "whiskers", a nose, and a tail, we then put four bubble gum eggs in it for my Princess' new friends here in Arkansas. We had fun making this craft together. I think next time we will get googly eyes to put on … [Read more...]

Then to top it off, we were treated to an amazing lunch this last week with church members. As a way to say thank you, my Princess and I went to the local dollar store and picked out some items to make a small Easter Gift Basket. We purchased 5 items for a total of $5 {so affordable, easy, and cute!} Easter Gift Basket: Lined … [Read more...]
