Pool Party Ideas

I don't know about you all, but I have been quite happy with the weather we've been having in Western Washington. Sunshine, Sunshine, Sunshine. Oh yeah! Both of my kids were in swimming lessons for the first time this past month and did great. They passed and are now ready to take their next levels. Do your kids take swimming lessons? With the summer season fast approaching, my mind tends to think about my Little Man's birthday. This year he is turning two and we will be having a party at … [Read more...]

Three Easy Easter Crafts For Kids

My daughter loves crafts. Now that she is six and in Kindergarten, craft time is getting more fun for me too! Dinosaurs Party Ideas

My daughter loves dinosaurs. In fact, I am sure she'd love if I threw her brother a dinosaurs birthday party this year. She had an awesome Reptile Party for her 5th birthday so a dinosaur party would be great too. With the release of the new film, Walking With Dinosaurs coming to Blu-ray and DVD on March 25th, I thought rounding up Dinosaurs party ideas was a great idea: For Dinosaur decorations think green and brown. Utilize burlap, it is so inexpensive. Food ideas can be simple and paleo - … [Read more...]

Dollar Store Valentines Gifts

January 31, 2014 By LaVonne

Last week, I happily received a box of HERSHEY'S Valentine's Day candy (think Twizzlers, ROLO, Reese's PB Hearts, and Kisses...) As you can see above my kiddos were just as happy. Of course, starting a healthy living journey last week made it a little more difficult to do my normal over-splurge on chocolate. I was good though - I think I only had four peanut butter hearts all week. {That is really good for me! Those are my kryptonite!} After getting so many bags of awesome candy, we visited … [Read more...]

Loom Valentine Card with Printable

rainbow loom

My Princess loves her loom bracelet maker. Is your child loving this fad right now? The single loom bracelet and the fishtail bracelet are her favorite to make. So we decided to make a bracelet for a Valentine's Day card. {I was inspired by Dandee Designs friendship bracelet card.) She gets bored quickly so a small bracelet is something we do work on together. I actually think it is pretty fun too though. She picked red, pink and white for her Valentine's Day bracelet colors. We … [Read more...]
