I mentioned previously that we arrived in Arkansas to food and gifts in our apartment. We were so blessed after a long day of travel and lost luggage. Then to top it off, we were treated to an amazing lunch this last week with church members. As a way to say thank you, my Princess and I went to the local dollar store and picked out some items to make a small Easter Gift Basket.
We purchased 5 items for a total of $5 {so affordable, easy, and cute!} Easter Gift Basket:
- Lined Basket
- Artificial Grass
- Artificial Clip-on Birdie
- Plastic Jewel Eggs
- 1 Bag of Old Fashioned Lemon Drops
My Princess decided to make a thank you card instead of buying one at the dollar store. Since she has been water color painting we decided to use materials we already have here to make small mini card. These artist trading cards are a great size for mini cards.
She paints almost every day. She loves it. We used tape and made a small cross on this water color paper. She picked out her colors and made this cute little Easter thank you card:
So $5 was spent today on this Easter Gift Basket and I think the woman who we are giving it to will be happy to receive it!

I am so glad she loves painting too. We watched Bob Ross on PBS this last week and she was in LOVE. She wants to take a class now to learn to paint like him. 🙂

That’s where we get the majority of our Easter basket items. You can get a really nice basket full of treats and fun things for half the price!

We just love the dollar store. When ever we travel we find one and get crafts and such there.

That is too cute! WHY didn’t I think of Dollar Tree when I was Easter shopping?

The dollar store is such a great go-to for simple, easy, affordable gifts! I love doing stocking stuffers and Easter baskets at the dollar store.
I love the artwork! Super cute! I may have to try that this year with my two – I know my 7 year old would love it!
