My kids both love Easter. In fact, they've been playing with last year's plastic Easter eggs at their Papa and Nana's house the last couple weeks. They hide them either in the house or out in the backyard. It's pretty cute, and it keeps them busy. I don't want them to think that Easter is all about plastic eggs, candy, and baskets full of silly toys. Each Easter I like to give them items the celebrate the true meaning of Easter -- Jesus Christ and His great love for us. I want them to celebrate … [Read more...]

We have a few trips planned this year with our kids. As they are getting older, my Little Man is almost three, traveling is getting a little easier for us. I have written about financial topics on the blog a few times the past year. What many of you might not know is that my husband, who has his MBA, loves anything that has to do with finances and saving. He is a bit known, in our circles, as a cheapskate. But honestly, he isn't cheap, he is very smart with money. I am thankful to be married to him. We have a great savings account, own our home and vehicles, and we are maximizing our retirement plans and college savings accounts for the kids. This … [Read more...]
