January 30, 2012 By LaVonne

We are all impatiently waiting to find out the gender of this baby. {I think about it constantly.} When we fly home from New Orleans next week, we have our ultrasound appointment and we are hopeful that we will find out the gender. My Princess has decided that she wants a brother. She told me husband, "I want a boy. If we have a girl you might love her and play with her more." She really does amaze me with the depth of the things she thinks about. {The hubster is certain that she … [Read more...]

20 Weeks Pregnant

January 17, 2012 By LaVonne

I am now 20 weeks pregnant. It is hard to believe that I am half way there already. I want to thank everyone who has been praying for me. I sure appreciate it. 20 weeks: This baby is now 6 1/2 inches crown to rump, and 10 inches from head to heel. This baby is now producing meconium, (I remember that from my Princess!). This baby is practicing swallowing which is great for the digestive system. Sleeping has become difficult. I have to go to the bathroom a lot. Even when I limit my … [Read more...]

Constantly, every day?I know, I need to rely on God and … [Read more...]

The Highlights of 2011

December 31, 2011 By LaVonne

January: I just got a new sewing machine and tried my hardest to make a quilted hot pad. Plus, I was inspired by Valentine's Day Subway Art and Cards. Our first destination of 2011: British Columbia, Canada.February: We got on a juicing kick after watching a documentary and have not stopped since. We also had our van broken into and learned to trust God. Our next destination: Northern California. (Have you seen the Redwoods?)March: My Princess made Gingerbread Bunny Cookies and got her first … [Read more...]

Santa Claus and Rudolph

December 27, 2011 By LaVonne

With Christmas now over, I am trying to play catch up. I just feel exhausted though. Do you all feel exhausted too?We made cookies this last week for Santa and one Christmas Eve we put them out with a glass of soymilk and a carrot for Rudolph. My Princess was beyond excited. The next morning she woke up and could not wait to check on it. Sure enough, most of the cookies were gone, almost all the milk was gone and the carrot was broken in half.Hmm... I guess Santa did come. Oh, and … [Read more...]

Barbie Birthday Party

December 20, 2011 By LaVonne

I wanted an Ice Cream Social birthday party- but my Princess emphatically stated she wanted a Barbie birthday party for her 4th birthday this last weekend. Who am I to argue with a girl who knows her mind. So, off to the grocery store, her and daddy went. They picked out a Barbie cake. (She said no cupcakes this year, she wants a cake!) Then, my husband and I went to Party City to find Barbie party decor. We found plates, cups, napkins, decorations, wrapping paper, and some … [Read more...]
