We made a goal this year to read more books to our children. I am happy to announce that we have been keeping our goal. Both of our children love books and that makes my husband and I very happy. We brought my Princess books for Homeschool Kindergarten Reading Class and she is doing really well. I love seeing her read the words and sound out words that are difficult. Reading is so great! It opens a whole new world for kids {and adults!}. Since we've been in Baton Rouge, we joined the … [Read more...]
Valentines Day Gift Ideas for Him
This is a sponsored campaign with Mums the Word Network and PickURGift. All opinions are my own. At Christmas time I told you all about a great new "reverse wishlist" site called pickURgift.com. I was able to easily make a wish list of products to send a family member for Christmas. They could look at that list and decide which gift they wanted most. I think this is a pretty amazing idea. It really does make gift giving easy. So I have decided to make a reverse wishlist for my husband … [Read more...]

Read More Books to the Kids in 2014
My husband and I both enjoy reading. We want to instill that love of reading in our children. After dinner is over and the kitchen is cleaned - my Princess has reading time. She either gets a book read to her, or she practices her Kindergarten reading. My son is still getting easy numbers and shapes board books. … [Read more...]
My Toddler is Hitting!
My sweet baby boy is a bully. He is only 19 months old but he makes his 6 year old sister cry at least once a day. He is hitting her and scratching her pretty often. And she is scared of him now. Have you dealt with a rough, bully of a boy before? Is your toddler hitting everyone in the family? It is so foreign for us. Our daughter has always been sweet and gentle too. Many times our toddler is hitting out of frustration. He can't communicate well. I get that. But, hitting and scratching? No … [Read more...]
Holiday Organization with Brother P-touch
I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Brother P-touch. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and promotional item as a thank you for participating. I shop all year long for great deals on Christmas gifts. Then, those purchased gifts have a lovely home in a box or bin in my garage. If I were smart, I'd keep a list, write down what I purchased, and place them in the bins right when I get them. Instead, I have this huge mess right before the … [Read more...]
