August 2, 2016 By LaVonne

During our annual family reunion with my husband's family in Southern California, we decided to extend our stay for two nights and visit the Pirate's Dinner Adventure and Knott's Berry Farm. We were so glad we did. We used hotel points we accumulated from previous traveling and had a fabulous time. The day we checked into our hotel we also went to the movies to see Finding Dory. It was a fun way for our family to end our vacation. Our family actually separated when we arrived at Knott's … [Read more...]

I should have video taped the box being opened. My kids were over the moon happy. Since we are mainly vegetarian (some fish only) in our family, our family loves Asian food. Rice bowls, a vegetable steamer, bamboo place mats, and chopsticks are perfect for our vegetarian loving family. But the Kung Fu Panda cups, … [Read more...]

10 Movies Based on Books to Stream on Netflix

June 23, 2016 By LaVonne

I don't know about all of you, but I love when one of my favorite books is made into a movie. I know, I know -- the movie is never quite as good as the book, but it's still a treat to see the movie played out before my eyes on the big screen. I am excited to see so many great movies on Netflix that have been adapted from books. New this month to Netflix is The Giver. In a future society without hardship or free choice, young Jonas discovers a powerful truth and becomes determined to expose … [Read more...]
