This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of U.S. Cellular. The opinions and text are all mine. When I was 12 my family took our first actual family vacation. We packed up our minivan and drove, with my uncle's family in their minivan, from Washington down to California. We went to visit my mom's sister in San Bernadino and to spend a couple days at Disney Land. You have no idea how exciting it was to be going out of state and to Disney Land for the first time. We'd been to … [Read more...]
Family Fishing Checklist
This post brought to you by Stren. The content and opinions expressed below are that of Long Wait For Isabella. Summer fishing season here in Western Washington always reminds me of salmon fishing. I grew up in a family of commercial fisherman here on our reservation. We eat salmon at least weekly if not more, and I have great memories of not only being on the boat and beach fishing but also with a rod in hand during our annual town Smelt Derby. [Tweet "Childhood fishing memories are the … [Read more...]

This week, he got up when the sun came up to BBQ the king salmon before it got too hot outside. (We are having … [Read more...]

My Accident Prone Three Year Old Boy
My son always falls down. Literally every single day. It might be due to the fact that he never walks anywhere. He runs -- all day long. He also doesn't pay attention to what he is doing a lot of the time. His knees are constantly scabby; his legs are always bruised up. The amazing thing to me - a girly girl through and through - is he doesn't seem to "learn" at all. He still runs in those darned flip flops; he still rides his balance bike way too fast; and he still doesn't pay close attention … [Read more...]
