EASY Mock Duck Yellow Curry

August 4, 2015 By LaVonne

This is a sponsored post with Tasteful Selections. All opinions are mine. We've been on our annual Canoe Journey this past weekend. Our family canoe is paddling with dozens of others to Seattle. The Muckleshoot Tribe is hosting this summer. I'll be honest and say, I haven't been to the grocery store much and my fresh fruit and vegetable drawers in my fridge are kind of bare this week. My Little Man and I took a day off from Canoe Journey - it was a 10-12 hour canoe pull yesterday and I … [Read more...]

Banana Split Yogurt Dessert

August 3, 2015 By LaVonne

It's nice to have a sweet dessert at the end of the day, isn't it? When the kids are in bed and I'm watching a favorite television show - I love having a small sweet dessert to enjoy. That's why I love this easy to recreate dessert: banana split yogurt dessert. I was at our local grocery store last week looking at ice cream flavors and one in particular caught my eye - yes, you guessed it, banana split. I decided to try and recreate my own version of the banana split - with Yoplait® yogurt. I … [Read more...]

She had a great time at soccer camp!

August 2, 2015 By LaVonne

Last week my daughter participated in a British Soccer Camp here in our county. She was nervous to go. She didn't know anyone that would be participating. Honestly, I gave her no choice but to go. And you know what? She loved it. There were a lot of children and the young adults (that came over from Great Britain) did a great job of organizing the kids into ages and teams. The kids had input on what their team country (team name basically) would be. The learned soccer technique and played a … [Read more...]

Binge Worthy: Dragons Race to the Edge

July 29, 2015 By LaVonne

While we were in San Diego for ten days this month, my daughter had only one complaint. She was so happy to be with family and especially her cousins - but one thing was continually complained about - the internet. More specifically, the inability to stream Netflix on her iPad. The internet was slow and the signal was low on the bottom floor of our generous sized hotel room. {It was not good for blogging and email either.} There is one show that she is loving this summer; in fact, she binge … [Read more...]

Having a Faith Crisis? Check out Patterns of Evidence Exodus

July 28, 2015 By LaVonne

About Patterns of Evidence Exodus For more than 50 years, the vast majority of the world's most prominent archaeologists and historians have proclaimed that there is no hard evidence to support the Exodus story found in the Bible. In fact, they say that the archaeological record is completely opposed to the Bible's account. This view of extreme skepticism has spread from academia to the world. The case against the Exodus appears to be so strong that even some religious leaders are labeling this … [Read more...]
