If It’s a Truck, He Loves It!

April 30, 2014 By LaVonne

If It's a Truck, He Loves It!

The sun is out in Western Washington. In our small town we hit 72 yesterday and today we are expecting the high 70s. Seattle is going to hit 80 today! I am ecstatic. I love the sunshine. So do my kids. They will play outside all day long. A new truck for my Little Man to keep busy is always nice. If it's a truck, if it has wheels, he is in love. Moulin Roty Pull Along Shape Sorting Garden Truck Make way for the garden truck "driven" by monsieur Potiron the Donkey. This delightful wooden … [Read more...]

Is My Toddler Ready for Potty Training?

Is My Toddler Ready to Be Potty Trained?

My son is 22 months old and the past month has been showing signs of being ready for potty training. I have been putting off this potty training thing a bit because honestly, my daughter was ready this early and I didn't think he'd really be. Plus, life is busy with the homeschool, travel, and the blog. Really busy. But the biggest reason just might be that I want him to stay a baby. Terrible, isn't it? How can my little baby be such a BIG Boy already? {It goes by fast, doesn't … [Read more...]

My Son Only Wants to Play Outside

My Son Only Wants to Play Outside

Now that Spring has arrived, my Little Man only wants to play outside. All day. Everyday. It is exhausting. This kid doesn't like to watch cartoons for more than ten minutes, doesn't want to read books, he just wants to play outside. Preferably, outside with anything with wheels. So he'll sit in our van or car for an hour just pretending to drive around. He'll climb back and forth from seat to seat, never getting bored. His newest love is to ride on the Jeep that belongs to his sister. He … [Read more...]

Ideas to Keep a Toddler Busy While Homeschooling

Homeschooling my daughter in Kindergarten is difficult with a 21 month old active boy. Most days it is overwhelming. My son wants to be included in school. He disrupts us. He wants to be fed breast milk. He climbs up on his sister's desk to sit with her. So it is time for a change. I need to be doing something with him at the same time so my Princess and I can more easily focus on our Kindergarten homeschool work. {Praise the Lord for the internet. I needed ideas!} I found six great articles on … [Read more...]

Ways to Protect a Climbing Toddler

Ways to Protect a Climbing Toddler

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Huggies. I received product samples to facilitate my review and to thank me for my participation. My toddler is climbing {a lot}. He loves climbing up on anything he possible can.  Yesterday, he actually fell off the dining room chair and hit his head. Thankfully, he didn't get hurt too bad. First he was walking, then running, and now climbing. Oh my! This Little Man is getting big way to fast! {Stay a baby … [Read more...]

How to Treat My Sick Toddler?

February 11, 2014 By LaVonne

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Zarbee’s Naturals. I received product samples and a promotional item as a thank you for participating. Our weather has been crazy here in Baton Rouge. One day it is 75 degrees and the next it will be freezing and the whole town shuts down. So it came as no surprise to me when I had a sick toddler this week. A low grade fever, runny nose, and a terrible cough - add to that sleepless nights and you have the perfect formula … [Read more...]

A Baton Rouge Park with Our Chicco Liteway Stroller

January 23, 2014 By LaVonne

We have made it safely to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It was a rough travel day with two sick kids but I made it and stayed fairly sane in the process. You'd think we'd have this travel stuff down, but it is still hard. Every. Single. Time. {Praise the Lord for a playground at the airport in Dallas!} And thank the Lord, that our Chicco Liteway Stroller arrived in time for our trip to Louisiana. We love our larger stroller but for traveling it can be a nuisance. A great quality umbrella stroller … [Read more...]
