Perfect Pushup

February 27, 2009 By LaVonne

This week, my Princess loves the Perfect Pushup. She is so cute. I know I keep saying that. I know I am biased. But it is true. Tonight while daddy was doing his perfect push ups, she wanted to try too. So she held on to one handle and bent into it like a pushup and even made a grunting noise like daddy. We laughed so hard. I love this little girl. Of course, once I got up to get the camera, she was more interested in the camera than the perfect push up. … [Read more...]

Late Night Blogging Part 2

February 14, 2009 By LaVonne

I am trying to catch up on my scrapbook. I have only finished through April of 2008. So tonight I worked on it for a little bit. Isabella had other plans though. She wanted to look at all the pages. She loves pictures, especially when she recognizes the people. Tonight she recognized Grandpa and Grandma from a page I did from March 2008 - their 30th anniversary page. So I told her that it was Grandpa and Grandma and she leaned down and kissed the picture of them holding her. How … [Read more...]

Late Night Blogging

February 14, 2009 By LaVonne

Do you ever have a list of things in your head that you want to blog about? I do. All the time. The problem is I often forget. I need to write them down. Thank goodness for late night blogging. Today, is the second day that Isabella has been sitting on her potty trainer toilet and pretending to go to the bathroom. She wants the toilet paper to wipe, so I give her one square and she pretends to wipe then she puts her square in her toilet. It is so funny to see. By the way, in Washington, … [Read more...]

Baby Einstein

January 29, 2009 By LaVonne

1 More Reason My Daughter is the Real Baby Einstein: My daughter is a baby Einstein.  Really. In the morning after I change her diaper I know to expect within the next 30 minutes that she will go poo poo. I can usually smell it. So I say, "Isabella go poo poo?" and I make the sign language sign for potty. Usually, she will come up to me and turn around so I can check her diaper, or if she is feeling spunky she will start to run away. Yesterday morning she had a BIG poo poo. I laid her down … [Read more...]

Sleeping Beauty

September 16, 2008 By LaVonne

I am so happy, Isabella is sleeping so much better this week. She is my sleeping beauty. I am hoping that the poor sleep phase at 8 months is now over. (Those weekly baby emails assured me it would soon pass.) We have had an exciting week! We are thrifty people. When we eat out, we almost always order water. We like to add little to go packet of lemonade or something to our water. Well, one packet I found was a sugar free Hawaiian Punch that is Blue. I keep it our diaper bag since that goes … [Read more...]

House Party and Grandparent’s Visit

September 10, 2008 By LaVonne

House Party

Our Fisher Price house party went very well on Sunday. Isabella enjoyed herself with the other 6 kids who attended. At one point I was watching her interacting with another child - a two year old - and she was so happy. She does this thing when she is happy, she hits things with both of her hands. She does it in the air to music, or laughing, anytime she is happy, her arms go up and down. So anyway she was happily playing and she crawled up to this boy and started hitting him on the back, … [Read more...]

First Words and New Toys

September 4, 2008 By LaVonne

Isabella loves to stand at our sliding glass door and watch our family dog DJ lay out on the deck. Well, it is official she finally said "Dee Hay" while looking at him! It was the first time she used the sound "Dee" instead of "Daa". I clapped and praised her, which made her very happy. It is exciting to see her trying to talk now. She is using quite a few sounds now, but mama sound has only happened maybe 2-3 times but not trying to call me mama. But soon, I know. I am happy she is saying dada … [Read more...]
