Our Fisher Price house party went very well on Sunday. Isabella enjoyed herself with the other 6 kids who attended. At one point I was watching her interacting with another child – a two year old – and she was so happy. She does this thing when she is happy, she hits things with both of her hands. She does it in the air to music, or laughing, anytime she is happy, her arms go up and down. So anyway she was happily playing and she crawled up to this boy and started hitting him on the back, smiling the whole time. He moved away from her of course, and I didn’t correct her, it was just cute to watch.
Ten minutes after our party ended we had a visit from Grandpa and Grandma {my in-laws}. Isabella had fun being chased by grandma. One of her newest games is chase, on her knees. She also enjoyed listening to all of grandpa’s “noises”. We will get to visit them more next week in South Lake Tahoe. We can’t wait!
Isabella is standing up on everything now. It is amazing to see how fast she is learning. In such a short time she learned that she could pull herself up just about anywhere – the bathtub, the kitchen chairs, her toys, her playpen, and the furniture. I love watching her practice standing and trying to take steps. Today, she tried to climb from one chair to the couch. (Her legs are not quite long enough.) No fear this little girl! She has no idea how many times we save her from falling.
Having children enables you to kind of see how God is with us, His love for us, His protection of us… it is amazing.
Oh, and the greatest thing ever – all week her favorite word has been “mama”.
