Our flowers are blooming in our front yard and it is so beautiful. I love Spring flowers don't you? Right when they start to grow, and then bud, I cannot help but smile. Physically seeing that growth of our front yard flowers equates to warmer weather, spending time outside in the sun with my family, and more DIY outdoor projects. One DIY activity that both I and my daughter love is watercolor painting. We love to bring our watercolor paints outside and enjoy the sunshine - painting … [Read more...]
1st Grade Homeschool: Learning Games
This last school year we completed Homeschool Kindergarten and had a great time. I found out that my daughter would much rather learn through games than by lecture and worksheets. That shouldn't come as a big surprise to any parent. So this school year I am incorporating more games in our learning. What is your child's learning style? I started this school year pretty organized and my week one lesson plan was done about two weeks in advance. I set up our new curriculum and learning games … [Read more...]
He’s Two: Disney Cars Birthday Party
My Little Man turned two this month. Wow! How time flies! Last year we hosted a home birthday party and it was fun, but a lot of work. This year we decided to have his birthday party at our local Children's Museum. We are members and so there was steep discount - no cleaning up, you can bring your own decorations and food, and the kids get to play with awesome things (restaurant, dentist office, bank, yacht, grocery store, dress-up stage, art room, and much much more!) How could we not host a … [Read more...]
100 Days of School
We celebrated 100 Days of School last month in Homeschool Kindergarten! I am sure we were about 20 days behind public school but that's the great thing about Homeschool. Printables abound online, don't they. The internet really is a homeschool mommy's best friend! We found counting activities, coloring activities and … [Read more...]

But, she also does crafts at church each weekend. Do your kids love crafts? What I love about Oriental Trading Company is how simple, yet awesome the crafts look. Each of the craft products we reviewed contained 12 … [Read more...]
Ideas to Keep a Toddler Busy While Homeschooling
Homeschooling my daughter in Kindergarten is difficult with a 21 month old active boy. Most days it is overwhelming. My son wants to be included in school. He disrupts us. He wants to be fed breast milk. He climbs up on his sister's desk to sit with her. So it is time for a change. I need to be doing something with him at the same time so my Princess and I can more easily focus on our Kindergarten homeschool work. {Praise the Lord for the internet. I needed ideas!} I found six great articles on … [Read more...]
