This is a sponsored post. All opinions are mine alone. Is music truly the universal language of mankind as poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow pondered? Sing a lullaby to a toothless baby. Place some pots and pans on the floor as you hand your preschooler a wooden spoon. Music belongs in the home – to be enjoyed by all ages at any time of day. Boston-based Jammin With You wants every kid to have an all-access pass to the wonders of music in a lively edutainment format, without leaving the … [Read more...]
Educational Games for Kids (that they’ll enjoy)
We are in our fifth week at home doing school. Isabella is independent, learning with her class via Google Meet and Google Classroom. She's able to get her work done on her own. I am thankful -- I don't know if I remember any 6th grade school work. Nate is in second grade. He has packets of worksheets, Zoom calls, YouTube videos to watch, Epic Books to read online and then we supplement his Bible and PE. Schooling with a second grade boy is NOT easy. So when Thinkfun reached out to me to try … [Read more...]
Ten Great At-Home Learning Tips
We are on day three of at-home learning and for the most part it's gone well. But, I am worried what the next six weeks (or more) will look like. Most of you know that I did homeschool my daughter for three years. And know she is in sixth grade. Isabella is very independent and does her work each day on her own. All of her work is done on an iPad and is completely online. My 2nd grade son has to be constantly worked with. He doesn't want to sit and do any of his worksheets. He only has about 5-6 … [Read more...]
How to Make Flash Cards with Rubber Stamps

While your child works on building foundational math skills, he will also learn a great study strategy that'll help him in years … [Read more...]
How to Teach Your Kids at Home
We've made it through the first semester of Preschool with flying colors! It started out difficult - my Little Man had a hard time going for 3.5 hours per day by himself. After two weeks, he wasn't crying anymore. That's a good thing. He still tells me he's scared when I drop him off, but he runs into class and doesn't say goodbye anymore. I feel a bit sad about my boy getting so big - but that three and half hours per day really helps as a work-at-home blogger! We had a parent teacher … [Read more...]
Preschool Curriculum Organization
This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #SchoolYearReady #CollectiveBias I mentioned last week that my Little Man is going to start Preschool next month. He will attend the preschool here in our local town with other friends, acquaintances, and even family members. It will be three hours per day and honestly, I am a bit apprehensive but truthfully I am mostly excited. It takes a big heart to shape little minds. I … [Read more...]
Summer Learning is Simple with Carson-Dellosa
I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Carson-Dellosa. I reviewed the free content on their website to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for my participation. Our former neighbor is a middle school teacher for our local school district and last week, while walking together, she told me that summer slide, or loss of learning during the summer months, definitely occurs. That's why it is important for parents to work with their … [Read more...]
