When Things Are Out of My Control
The winter weather really affected our seminar attendance with the local church here in Baton Rouge. Attendance hasn't been as high as it was a week ago. Or as high as it normally is. It is frustrating. You can't control it but you want people to meet Jesus and have a life changing experience. That's a noble desire, right? My children are driving me crazy. My son's hitting had become almost non-existent (praise The Lord!) but now he is screaming - a lot! Screaming is in my top five things … [Read more...]
Update: Our Goal to Read More Books
We made a goal this year to read more books to our children. I am happy to announce that we have been keeping our goal. Both of our children love books and that makes my husband and I very happy. We brought my Princess books for Homeschool Kindergarten Reading Class and she is doing really well. I love seeing her read the words and sound out words that are difficult. Reading is so great! It opens a whole new world for kids {and adults!}. Since we've been in Baton Rouge, we joined the … [Read more...]

Many times our toddler is hitting out of frustration. He can't communicate well. I get that. But, hitting and scratching? No … [Read more...]

Do you use positive reinforcement with them? I was pretty excited to see a new website that offers kids challenges with a twist. This is a great way to get kids to do some pretty great things. About CWIST cwist - kids’ challenges with a twist - is a parent-educator collaboration that provides an interactive … [Read more...]
Family Christmas Movie Night
This week, we had a family movie night. To make our family night even more special we bought ice-cream, whipped cream, hot fudge, and maraschino cherries for dessert. I pulled out two holiday movie collections to have a special family Christmas movie night, The DreamWorks Holiday Collection and the Original Christmas Classics. Can you guess which set my Princess picked out? Yep. She choose The DreamWorks Holiday Collection. And yes, we watched all four animated films and we LOVED them. About … [Read more...]
