I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of Mom Central for Dove. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for participating. When my six year old says I'm bored I usually tell her to go clean or organize something. It works. She stays busy and usually ends up playing with whatever I told her to put away. This week asked my family what they wanted to do this summer - a summer bucket list so to speak. Here are some things on our list … [Read more...]
An Early Mother’s Day Date with my Mom
I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Starbucks. I received a promotional item and a gift card to facilitate my review. My mom is going to be gone on Mother's Day for a funeral. {In Native American country, funerals happen a lot. And since my dad knows a lot of people nationally and locally, this funeral is not optional for them.} Then, on Monday morning she will be flying out to the San Diego area for some meetings. So, this last week we … [Read more...]
The Family LOVES Sesame Street Live!
We attended the Make a New Friend Sesame Street Live performance this morning at the Everett Comcast Arena and loved it. A smaller show than other live shows we've attended, Sesame Street Live is the perfect show for my young children. The singing and dancing numbers kept my kids entertained and delighted. My six year old thought it would be for "babies" but she had a blast. If you get a chance to attend one of the performance this weekend in Everett or next weekend in Tacoma then do it! It is … [Read more...]

Here's what our routine looks like: Breakfast Homeschool YMCA class Lunch Pool or Park Errands Quiet … [Read more...]

Always Say I Love You – R.I.P. Uncle
My family had a difficult week last week. We unexpectedly lost my favorite uncle to a massive stroke. He was only 57. In the Native American culture a funeral is much different than in the Caucasian culture. We had a lot to do last week - planning the funeral, shopping for giveaway items that are held after the funeral, buying burial clothing for my Uncle, eating a nightly meal with the rest of the reservation for three nights, holding a small ceremony at the funeral home for only close family, … [Read more...]
Exploring My Roots: A Puerto Rico Vacation
This post brought to you by Puerto Rico, The All-Star Island. All opinions are 100% mine. Have I mentioned here on the blog that my great grandfather was full Puerto Rican? He left Puerto Rico at about the age of 12 by jumping on a ship. Somehow he ended up on the Lummi Indian Reservation in Bellingham, Washington and was adopted my the Native Americans after he married a Native woman. It has been my dream for a long time to visit Puerto Rico. My mother just visited it for the first time … [Read more...]
