Low Temperature?
So, this morning Isabella decided she did not want breakfast. There was nothing I could do. But when she started acting fussy while getting her dress on I decided to take her temperature. I have a quick ear one that I use and her temperature was low - very low I thought. I was 94.7. Ear temperatures are known to be unrealiable so I took it again and proceeded to take my own and daddy's. Ours was "normal", but hers still came out low.So that threw us into a small panic mode. Any strange thing … [Read more...]
Baby Sign Language
During lunch, for the first time, my Princess used baby sign language to sign the word "thank you" without being asked to. She wanted one of my chips so I gave her a piece of the chip and she signed thank you. I was so happy and praised her abundantly. I am so glad she can communicate more easily now. Sign language has helped us. Do you use Baby Sign Language? The mirror has become an attraction for my little girl as well. She loves pictures, especially when she recognizes the people. Tonight she recognized Grandpa and Grandma from a page I did from March 2008 - their 30th anniversary page. So I told her that it was Grandpa and Grandma and she leaned down and kissed the picture of them holding her. How … [Read more...]

Well you have all been there if you have a child(ren). That first one, the joy, the difficulty, the changes in your life. It can all be so overwhelming. This is my outlet, my place to praise, rant, beg for help even. Children are a gift from God, but His gifts are a blessing and sometimes even hard. I have worked outside the home since I was 17 so staying home now with … [Read more...]
Merry Christmas!
Well, Christmas is coming to an end. It always comes and goes so fast in my opinion. We had a wonderful day today though! My parents and sister are here and though we tried not to spoil Isabella too much, she did seem to get a lot! I can see why toys easily accumulate. Isabella's top three favorite things: a couch, a baby stroller, and an ornament. The baby buggy was really for her dolly, but she really wanted to ride in it instead. So everyone had to take their turn pushing her. Which started … [Read more...]
