Early Elementary Books She Wants to Read This Summer
This will be our first summer in two years, that we didn't do homeschool year round. When we homeschooled Pre-K and Kindergarten, we went year round to get through our entire curriculum. That is one thing I do miss about homeschooling my daughter - going at our own pass and taking days off whenever we want. This last semester at her Christian private school has been a transition for us all. To keep her brain going this summer and focused on educational things - not only will she be doing some … [Read more...]
Watercolor Ideas for Kids!
Our flowers are blooming in our front yard and it is so beautiful. I love Spring flowers don't you? Right when they start to grow, and then bud, I cannot help but smile. Celebrate National Reading Month with a Kindle!
It is not secret that Reading has been my daughter's least favorite subject in school. She didn't like it in homeschooling, and now she isn't a big fan at her private Christian school. I have always had a great love for books and reading, since before I was her age. I started reading at the age of three and haven't stopped. I am hoping my daughter will one day share my own love for reading. Which is why getting her a Kindle with books I know she will love on it, is my best bet on creating a love … [Read more...]

I haven't given an update on how my school has been going for my Princess. I was nervous about quitting homeschooling, but of course by the end of the first day, she was a pro. She made friends with all her classmates, and by the end of the first week, her teacher told us that it was like she was there the whole year. We are busy with this school. She has field trips and after school programs. She loves it. I am already feeling tired. It seems like just yesterday she was riding trikes and now … [Read more...]
Elementary School Vegetarian Lunch Box Ideas
Now that we've quit homeschooling, we are dealing with packing school lunches. I have been searching the interenet for ideas. My daughter had our version of a vegetarian lunchable the first week. Then we moved on to hotdogs. Next, she got a regular cheese and vegetarian bologna sandwich. Throughout the last month, I've also given her pasta and leftover Asian food. She is getting bored now. She wants new vegetarian lunch box ideas. Last week she started using a new kid's backpack and lunch bag … [Read more...]
