Cherry Chocolate Chip Cookies (I have a secret ingredient!)

August 24, 2015 By LaVonne

One of my favorite flavor combinations is cherries with chocolate. I also love cherry Greek yogurt and eat it a few times per week for a low calorie, high protein, sweet treat. I started thinking about recipes I could make with this great yogurt and chocolate. Honestly, I'd be happy adding 2 T of mini dark chocolate chips into my cherry Greek yogurt but isn't so hard is it? I don't know if you'd want to see an entire blog post about how easy that dessert time snack is. {But it is so easy. You … [Read more...]

Springtime White Chocolate Dipped Chocolate Chip Cookies

Thanks to Nestle Toll House for sponsoring today's discussion. (Like I need a reason to make cookies!) While much of the country has been experience cold and frozen temperatures, our state of Washington had the warmest February on record. Local ski resorts have shut down early and even reimbursed season pass holders. For a month now, we've felt like it is Spring. Our daffodils have bloomed and many are gone to make way for our world famous tulips. Spring is here and I couldn't be more … [Read more...]

Chocolate Chip Cookies Truffles Recipe

This week my husband purchased two official kid sized soccer balls. We saw a father and daughter at our local park practicing and my daughter could not wait to practice soccer with daddy. At six, we were amazed at how well she did. My husband grew up playing soccer in Southern California and was able to teach her a few things. She picked it up right away. When we got home, she wanted a snack before dinner. Thankfully, I found Mrs. Fields Nibblers® at our local Fred Meyer (Kroger affiliate … [Read more...]

Devil's Food Cake Mix ROLO Cookies

Easter is only three weeks away! Can you believe it? Does your family have special Easter traditions? In our family we get together and have a family dinner usually at 2pm to allow people to get done with church and then we eat, play games, and then adults hide Easter eggs (real and plastic that are filled with candy and money). To prepare for Easter I love to decorate a dozen Easter eggs with the kids. We dye eggs and decorate eggs. We also like to bake. What does your family love to do … [Read more...]

Pumpkin Spice Cake Mix Cookies

Thank you Global Influence and HERSHEY'S for sponsoring today's post. Halloween is a fun time of year because truthfully I love the over abundance of candy. I have the worst (or best, it depends on how you look at it) sweet tooth. Really. I can't buy the candy or I will eat it. So when HERSHEY'S sent a box full of candy to our front door, you can imagine my extreme delight as well as dread. Not good for a weight conscious mommy! My Princess and I love baking together. But we prefer … [Read more...]

Peppermint Sugar Cookie Kisses Recipe

January 7, 2013 By LaVonne

I know Christmas is over, but we had such a great time this holiday season baking cookies. Family Christmas traditions are important and baking sugar cookies has been ours for quite some time. A sugar cookie kiss is always such a hit with family and friends of all ages. This year, we decided to make a bit extra and share them with our church family. I am a big proponent right now at this stage in our life to make semi-homemade things. So I purchased the sugar cookies ready to bake. It is … [Read more...]
