One of my favorite flavor combinations is cherries with chocolate. I also love cherry Greek yogurt and eat it a few times per week for a low calorie, high protein, sweet treat. I started thinking about recipes I could make with this great yogurt and chocolate. Honestly, I’d be happy adding 2 T of mini dark chocolate chips into my cherry Greek yogurt but isn’t so hard is it? I don’t know if you’d want to see an entire blog post about how easy that dessert time snack is. {But it is so easy. You must try this yogurt as a dessert or snack option. Yogurt is not just breakfast you know!}
So, out of my love for all things cherry and chocolate, these dark chocolate cherry chunk cookies were born. They are so moist and tasty. One batch makes 24 sweet delectable cookies.
Baking cookies is comforting, and cookies are the sweetest little bit of comfort food. They are very bite-sized and personal. – Sandra Lee

The nice thing about cookies like this is my daughter can easily help make them. They are difficult and they don’t need to be exact. Plus, she loves cooking in the kitchen with mommy.
