November 4, 2013 By LaVonne

This post is brought to you by Supercuts. Have you ever thought about owning your own franchise? You'd be a business owner, and your own boss, if you started your own franchise. It does sound appealing, right? When you thought about the business you wanted to start, you might not have thought about starting a Supercuts franchise. But I want to debunk a few myths people might have about starting a Supercuts franchise. Two Common Supercuts Franchising Misconceptions: 1. This business is for … [Read more...]

Operation Smile: Helping Children This Holiday Season

November 4, 2013 By LaVonne

As a family, we like to help children during the holiday season. We think it is important to help others and to teach our children the importance of helping others. Each year we pick a few names off of a Christmas tree in our town and buy a present for a child in need. But this year, I'd like to do more. My oldest will be six this holiday season, and I think she'd enjoy helping at a soup kitchen, shopping for children, and donating to our local food bank. sweetriot: 100 Calorie Chocolates? Yes, please!

November 3, 2013 By LaVonne

This post is brought to you by sweetriot. I keep going on and off Weight Watchers. It is hard to stick to it when we are traveling so much. Plus, I like my sweets. (Hey, I have a sweet tooth! It can't be held responsible!) So imagine my delight when I found a new chocolate that was 140 calories and only 3 Weight Watchers points. October 31, 2013 By LaVonne

We are a baby wearing family. We bring a few different carriers with us when we travel. As my Little Man is getting older (he is turning 17 months old tomorrow *gasp*), I am truly thankful for our Boba Carrier. I can wear him on my back and it has foot straps. I really love those foot straps. Plus, this carrier is comfortable - much more comfortable than many baby carriers we have owned in the past.  This week, Boba just announced that it has upgraded its Carrier. You can now purchase the Boba … [Read more...]

This post is brought to you by MicroTouch SwitchBlade and Idea Village. I am blessed with a husband who likes to keep himself groomed. I am thankful for a husband who takes care of himself and keeps himself looking great. I know not all men do this though. So I wanted to share 10 simple grooming tips for men. These … [Read more...]
