This is a sponsored post with Adams Natural Peanut Butter. All opinions are mine alone. We camped in our 5th wheel travel trailer for 10 days this month here in Western Washington. We've known about this camping trip for almost a year and I'll be the first to admit that I wasn't prepared. I didn't make my normal list of things to pack. And I ended up forgetting a lot of things -- most importantly rain coats and rain boots. The clouds, thunder, lightening and rain was a HUGE surprise and … [Read more...]
Toddler learning to ride? A balance bike is a must!
We are currently in the Tacoma, Washington area for my husband's work. We are staying at a nice RV park with our fifth wheel travel trailer and thankfully our paved road out front doesn't get to much traffic. It is just long enough of a road for the kids to have fun riding their bikes up and down the road. Yes, you heard me right, my 29 month old is riding his bike down the road everyday and loving it. You see, he has an awesome Strider Sport Balance Bike! I'll be honest. This is not his … [Read more...]
What I Love About RV Living
This last week, we stayed in our RV for my husband's work again. And you know what? We had a pretty good time. There were many moments when I went crazy. But I go crazy at home with my kiddos too, so that's nothing new. Though my husband worked a lot this week, we had time to visit our local Six Flags twice! We had such a great time too. We bought a season's pass for a steal and can't wait to keep going all summer long! In fact, when our RV is done getting cleaned out from this trip, we … [Read more...]
Chasing Kids on Scooters is Exhausting!
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Reebok. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating. My Princess has taken out her new scooter this week. She got it for Christmas but has been a little nervous about riding it. I talked her into practicing slowly at first and within 30 minutes she had it down. We brought it with us to the RV. It really is the perfect riding toy for RV life since it can … [Read more...]
My Secret to Staying Moisturized in the RV
Disclosure: I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Aveeno. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for participating. One thing I didn't know about RV life is that moisture abounds when there are four people living in a 32 ft trailer. At night, while we are asleep, the condensation collection on the walls, the windows, in the closets, and even where the mattress meets the wall. It is amazing. So … [Read more...]
Laundry in the RV
Life in a 32 foot RV travel trailer with four has its pros and cons. To be honest, laundry isn't one of the cons. First, we don't have a lot of room for an excess of laundry. But, that being said, we do have a laundry "shoot" under the floor that we can easily throw our dirty clothes into. Because a laundry basket fills up pretty easily with a family of four (one being a very messy little boy) - we do have to do laundry pretty often. We can't sort as easily or we'd have small loads and … [Read more...]
RV Life After One Month
We are alive and love each other still. That's a success in my eyes. 32 feet is pretty small and I knew RV life wouldn't always be easy. I am working overtime on my patience. Honestly, these kids drive me batty most days. But, we seem to have a great time if we stick to a routine. Life is always easier with kids when they are on a routine, isn't it? Here's what our routine looks like: Breakfast Homeschool YMCA class Lunch Pool or Park Errands Quiet … [Read more...]
