May 9, 2013 By LaVonne

Disclosure: I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for MetLife. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating. What is your family doing for Mother's Day?  Our family is starting our celebration early with a four generation ladies tea on Friday. I am quite excited. Then on Sunday we are going to have brunch. We are still debating if we will go to a local restaurant favorite or if we will have the men make us a vegan breakfast burrito bar. Hmm... … [Read more...]

Thank you Quaker for sponsoring today's discussion. A mom's life is always busy. We travel so much and stay quite busy it seems like life is flying by. Does it ever feel like life is going by too fast for you? When we are home finally, there is always so much to do, I can't seem to catch up. This week since we arrived home from Arkansas, life has been hectic. With taxes, USPS mail, boxes from FedEx and UPS, house clean up, laundry, visiting family and friends, blog catch up, and normal … [Read more...]

parental guidance

After traveling home from Arkansas this weekend, I was so happy to be in my own bed. To sit on my own couch. It is just a great feeling. In the evening I had my own time. "Me Time" and I was happy to be able to watch a new movie Parental Guidance. Tips to End Early Childhood Bullying

As I watch my 5 year old playing with other children as we travel around the country, I have realized that she is just learning how to interact well with other kids. It is my job as a parent to teach her how to interact and play with other kids in a positive way. According to stopbullying.gov children between the ages of 3-5 are learning how to get along, cooperate, share their feelings, and understand their feelings. There have been a few times when I have felt that my daughter has been … [Read more...]

Hey! I am a Good Mother, Right?

March 31, 2013 By LaVonne

We get prayer requests turned in during our seminars. I usually type them up in one file and email it to the local pastor we are working with. This last week we had a few prayer requests turned in about children: Children in trouble. Children whose parents are hooked on meth. Children who won't let their parents see the grand kids. Children who left the church. Which has convicted me once more. I need to be really praying for these two children of mine.  Each day it seems that … [Read more...]
