Isabella and my mom are HUGE fans of Hallmark's When Calls the Heart. They'll binge watch episodes as they become available. They will gladly watch episodes they've already seen. You can call them "Hearties" for sure. So, when Shout! Factory offered the send the When Calls the Heart movies over on DVD for review, I knew, without a doubt, that we'd have to share them here. I actually grew up absolutely loving Janette Oke books. I devoured them. So to have a television series based on her … [Read more...]

Christmas Tradition: New Christmas Ornament Each Year
My four year old son is in love with Batman. Period. He has a Batman rain coat, Halloween costume, Bat Cave toy, and the Batmobile. Now this year, as our Christmas tradition continues - a new Batman Christmas ornament for the Christmas tree. There are many handmade Valentine's Day cards to be found online - and they are all so cute. But, to be honest, it is easier for me at this point in my life, to buy Valentine's Day cards for my Princess' class. So that Pinterest board full of card ideas will have to wait until next … [Read more...]
Our Black Friday involved Rudolph!
We have a family tradition of putting up our Christmas tree and in-house Christmas decorations up on the day after Thanksgiving - always in the evening. We listen to Christmas music and drink hot chocolate with mini-marshmallows. My Princess has been counting down all week to do it. This special family night really is a highlight of our entire year. We still use an artificial tree that we've used for the last decade. My awesome hubby, puts the color coated branches in each assigned slot, while … [Read more...]
