We made another dump cake this week for church potluck. And by we, I mean, my Princess, who is 4, did most of the work. We like making dump cakes since they are simple and easy. Life in Indiana
We are enjoying life in Indiana this fall. Our Little Man just turned 5 months old and he has adjusted very nicely to the time zone difference. I am putting him to bed every night by 8pm and he is such a good little sleeper. {Thank the Lord.} He is in love with his hands and feet. He is always grabbing his feet trying in vain to get them in his mouth. Plus, he can watch his hands for long periods of time. He passes his teething rings from one hand to another over and over. These issues are uncomfortable to talk about and frightening to imagine, but they are happening. Studies show nearly 1 in 10 teenagers will experience physical violence from a dating partner and 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 7 boys will experience sexual abuse in childhood, more often than not, from someone they know. Our failure to talk about these issues, to … [Read more...]
My Baby Is 3 Months Old!
Nathanael is 3 months old this month. It is amazing how fast time goes by. 3 months old is such a fun stage. This is when babies begin to laugh, hold their head up better, and grab things. We have been doing tummy time in the mornings when he is happy. He has rolled over a couple times. This is also the month that the drool begins to go into overdrive. I have purchased extra bibs so that his shirts don't get soaked through. I have also purchased teething toys that you can chill in … [Read more...]
