My Baby Is 3 Months Old!

September 28, 2012 By LaVonne

Spread the love

3 month old baby

Nathanael is 3 months old this month. It is amazing how fast time goes by. 3 months old is such a fun stage. This is when babies begin to laugh, hold their head up better, and grab things. We have been doing tummy time in the mornings when he is happy. He has rolled over a couple times. This is also the month that the drool begins to go into overdrive. I have purchased extra bibs so that his shirts don’t get soaked through. I have also purchased teething toys that you can chill in the refrigerator.

There is nothing like hearing your baby laugh.

I went to a large conisgnment sale recently and bought some colorful toys at a great deal. After cleaning them, I placed them in a basket and we play with different toys through out the day.

The weekly emails I get in my inbox about baby’s development indicate that babies at 3 months old need you to place toys just outside their grasp helps them with their motor skills. I allow him to grab the toys after a little bit and he loves biting and sucking on them. We are talking with him, cooing together, and laughing together.

Mostly, he just wants to bite on his fingers.

Did you have a favorite age with your children?

*Don’t you love these monthly tie stickers?

Those stickers are so cute! And there’s nothing like baby laughs. I think I like 6-7 months better where they’re not quite moving around but they’re sitting up. Happy 3 months to Nathanael!

He is adorable and I love those sticky ties – where did you get them??? 3 months can be a great age if you don’t have a colicky baby like I did. For me it took till almost a year to declare anything a great age but your little man looks happy as can be – good for you!!

Those sticky ties are from an Etsy shop – Little Baby Bumblebee. She has hundreds of options for like $9. They are awesome. Thanks for coming by. Yes I am quite blessed with a great baby.

I wish my 2 year could be 3 months old, if only for a day lol. I LOVE babies so much! Your little one is adorable!

I know right? My 4 year old is a lot of work actually. I love her so much, but it is a lot easier to deal with a 3 month old 🙂

He is so cute! My little girl is 3 months old as well and she also spends her time munching on her fingers. She’s discovered her feet now too, so it’s a lot easier to entertain herself.

3 months is definitely one of those times that i love the most. They are just starting to play back with you, they giggle and it’s so adorable and they are all smiles! I love that age. Really I am loving every stage until they reach the tantrum stage of a 5 year old. lol.

I think my 4 year old has reached that stage. I don’t like the fake loud crying and the pouting. I am doing my best to curb that behavior but it is difficult.

Honestly my favorite age was when they could tie their shoes, go to the bathroom by themselves, dress themselves, bathe themselves. I really enjoyed that stage because they felt so grown up and proud. Also, at the time I was blissfully ignorant to the next stage..smart mouthed teenager stage. If only they could be 3 months again…

I am honestly not looking forward to the teenage years, Bobbie. Time is going by so fast, I am sure it will be here before I know it.

OhmyHECK – I can barely remember that Abby was even this small. She’s only two – but it’s so dramatically different than the baby stage.

She is SO much fun these days, and I absolutely love this toddler stage. {I mean, besides the absolute bi-polar-ness of those terrible two mood swings, lol} – But I do miss my baby… 🙂

I love that tie! I don’t really miss the baby, baby stage now that Michael is 14 months old.
