In this video, My Uncle’s Gift, this young boy’s dream to be a filmmaker is inspired by his Uncle’s gift to him. It is important as a family to keep the good going don’t you agree? To perpetuate the positive.
What are some ways that your family keeps the good going?
As I mentioned before, I live on a Native American reservation within a couple miles of most of my family. We have quite a large extended family. It is nice to be close like this to family members. My favorite uncle taught me to always say I love you. No matter what, my uncle would hug me, kiss my cheek, and say I love you.
Telling the people close to you that you love them is important. That is a great gift to pass down in your family, one I am trying to mimic in my own immediate and extended family.
Are there any family traditions or anecdotes that you can share?
Keep the Good Going are welcome nuggets of wisdom and insight from life’s circumstances. Uplifting in nature and encouraging, simple yet profound – these little nuggets (like my Uncle’s big heart) are not to be forgotten or their importance underestimated.

Saying I love you is important! It is not something my parents did a lot just because of how they were raised, but I make sure I do it for my own kids.
