An Early Mother’s Day Date with my Mom

Spread the love

I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Starbucks. I received a promotional item and a gift card to facilitate my review. An Early Mother's Day Date with My Mom

My mom is going to be gone on Mother’s Day for a funeral. {In Native American country, funerals happen a lot. And since my dad knows a lot of people nationally and locally, this funeral is not optional for them.} Then, on Monday morning she will be flying out to the San Diego area for some meetings. So, this last week we decided we’d go on a Mother’s Day date early. Our stop? Starbucks for a drink and Target for some shopping. Isn’t that the best date ever?

My mom is not a coffee drinker. In fact, when she gets a drink at Starbucks she usually gets a Chai Tea and I get an herbal tea. So, this visit we were excited to try a new tea available. The Teavana Oprah Chai Tea is a new tea option at Starbucks. She decided to try the hot version while I got the iced one.

An Early Mother's Day Date with my Mom

We both loved Teavana Oprah Chai tea. It had a rich a lovely flavor, distinctive to chai tea. It wasn’t too spicy or overpowering. And the aroma? Heavenly! I tasted my mom’s hot version and honestly preferred this tea iced. A great treat for Mother’s Day or any day, Teavana Oprah Chai Tea is a must try! It is nice to have a chance to sit and enjoy a cup of tea isn’t it? There is just something relaxing and peaceful about it. I love tea and cannot wait to try Oprah’s chai tea a second time.

About Teavana Oprah Chai

I forgot to mention that my mom got hers with soy milk. You probably don’t do soy though, right? One day they’ll have almond milk, I am sure of it! 🙂

I am not a huge tea drinker but this chai tea does sound yummy. I may have to give it a try.

This is better than your regular herbal tea, Kelly. It is so full of flavor and tasty. Very close to a coffee drink. I love chai!

We’re doing brunch with my mom Sunday and then I’m going bowling with my husband and preschooler. It’s all about spending time with family.
