She did it again! Last night at the seminar my Princess told me she had to go pee pee. We ran down to the bathroom and she went. Then she didn't go pee pee all night; she had a completely dry diaper! So we put her on the potty first thing and she went again! Whoo hoo!!!!Yep, I am writing yet again about pee pee in the potty. See what being a mommy to a toddler does to you? No more witty, poetic, grandiose thoughts on intelligent topics - just excitement over pee pee.Okay, I do have more great … [Read more...]
Top Ten Reason Why She is a Big Girl Now
This life with a baby is going by too fast. She already feels like a big girl now. In one hand, I am excited that she is getting older and life is changing. But on the other, I miss that tiny baby phase. Oh, does it go by so fast. Slow down, girl! Here are 10 reasons why she is a big girl now: 1. Well it has been four full days since my Princess has breastfed. I am impressed to say the least. I thought I might cave in a couple times. Especially now that she says, "Please momma, … [Read more...]
Good Bye Decade of my Twenties
I cannot believe that the end of a decade is coming upon us. Time keeps flying by me, and as I get older it is going faster. (In my mind I still feel so young. I did spend most of my twenties in this decade.) So here is a short (well at least I tried to keep it short) recap of the decade. I got this great idea from Rachel at Musings of a Future Pastor's Wife.2000 (I was 21 when this year began.)Husband and I publically gave our life to God in front of church. He was baptized as I stood beside … [Read more...]
My Bucket List
Well, I first learned of the term Bucket List when the movie came out. Then I stumbled across a blog - Lucy's Life - and she wrote her own Bucket List. This has inspired me to create my own Bucket List - a list of things I would like to accomplish before I die (in no particular order).Learn Spanish (I am one step closer. Last week, we got Rosetta Stone Level 1,2 and 3.)Quit eating so much sugar (notice I didn't say quit eating sugar entirely.)Learn how to sew so I can make crafts, pillows, duvet … [Read more...]
Marriage is For Life!
While we were on vacation in Washington state, my husband and I celebrated our 10th anniversary. One way to make your home "sing" is to choose to stay married and have a good happy marriage. Marriage is not always easy but love should be a choice not just a feeling. Our choice is to stay married, put God first in our marriage, and be together for life - no matter what. I am so glad we have made that decision. We are happily married after 10 years and I can't wait for 10 more! Gen. 2:18, … [Read more...]
10 Years?
Shouldn't I get a Phd by now in marriage? Wow! 10 years ago today I married my husband. I was 20 years old. Just a child. But we made it. With the help of the Lord, we have survived 10 years and thrived. I can't wait for at least 50 more! You know, the older you get the faster time flies. Really, it does not seem like 10 years. So this post is a BIG Happy Anniversary message to my husband a wonderful man. A man who has put up with impatience, bossiness, stubbornness, selfishness, cold toes, and … [Read more...]
Frugal Friday: Free Contacts :)
Okay, so the title is a little misleading, I will freely admit to it. :) I just needed an excuse to show off my Princess. (There is a frugal tip under the last photo though.) She is so funny. Every day when I put on my contacts she follows me into the bathroom, gets up on her stool, and puts her "contacts" in too. Of course, there is only saline solution left in the container, but she thinks she is doing something. For more pretend play you should head over to Target today. Yesterday, they … [Read more...]
