Shouldn’t I get a Phd by now in marriage?
Wow! 10 years ago today I married my husband. I was 20 years old. Just a child. But we made it. With the help of the Lord, we have survived 10 years and thrived. I can’t wait for at least 50 more! You know, the older you get the faster time flies. Really, it does not seem like 10 years. So this post is a BIG Happy Anniversary message to my husband a wonderful man. A man who has put up with impatience, bossiness, stubbornness, selfishness, cold toes, and so much more. I Love You!
At our wedding 10 years ago we chose this poem to be read, written by Elizabeth Browning, And you know, I love my husband more today than I did that day 10 years ago Here is that poem:
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday’s
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood’s faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints,–I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! –and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.
