8th Birthday Pool Party (in the winter!)

January 14, 2016 By LaVonne

Last month my Princess turned 8! We gave her a choice of party ideas and she chose to have a birthday pool party. We have a local pool that you can rent, before it is open to the public. They have a warmer kiddie pool with a beach style entrance and a water slide. They also have the main pool with lap lanes. There is also a very deep pool with a diving board. We had the pool for 2 hours and invited her classmates and their families. We had a lot of fun. The kids were happy as well as the … [Read more...]

How To Train Your Dragon Party

How To Train Your Dragon Party

My Princess celebrated her 7th birthday this month and we had such a great party with family and friends. I threw her a How to Train Your Dragon party at my parent's house and we had a local magician come perform. Everyone LOVED it, including the adults. It truly rivaled our Reptile Girl party from two years ago.  I had great How to Train Your Dragon party supplies from Oriental Trading Company for decoration and party bags. I am seriously always pleased with everything I've received from … [Read more...]

Nathanael's 1st Birthday: Big Rig Birthday Party

Thank you Make It Mine Parties for sponsoring today's post.   My Little Man turned one! It is hard to believe how fast this year has gone. I wanted to have  a small party for him with family and close friends. {He can have larger parties with more children like his sister's Reptile Party when he is older.} He has a few things he absolutely loves right now - dogs and vehicles.  He can see a doggie anytime and be so happy. I wish we could get a dog but since we travel so much for … [Read more...]

Reptile Girl Birthday Party

December 27, 2012 By LaVonne

My Princess turned 5 this month. Where has the time gone? It is flying by. She is such a big girl. I asked her what she wanted for breakfast on her 5th birthday and she asked for Pumpkin Pie. So I went to Costco and got a big pumpkin pie and even put sprinkles on top! We decided to do a reptile girl birthday party for her. We had the "Reptile Man" come and show all his amazing animals. It was such a great birthday party. Even the adults loved it!   I found a great … [Read more...]

Lady Bug Theme Birthday Party

Lady Bug Theme Birthday Party

My Princess loves lady bugs. So, instead of choosing a cartoon character this year for her birthday theme, we decided to let her dress up as a lady bug and throw her a lady bug theme birthday party. I made my own lady bug cupcakes, bought red handled bags (and put lady bug stickers on them), filled them with red and black toys and candy, and bought red and black plates, cups, and napkins. We had fun! The cupcakes were a hit, even if they were very time consuming to make. Thank you … [Read more...]

Happy Birthday, Princess!

Three years old already!longwaitforisabella 2010Where has the time gone?It has flown by.Before I know it she will be a teenager. Oh my!When she woke up, first thing she said, "Can I open my presents?" It must be so hard for a toddler to see presents under the tree that you cannot open. The next thing she told me, "I am 3, I am not 2 anymore." She really is just too cute for words some days.Birthday dinner (her choice):Avocado Sushi (of course) for dinner. Mini hot chocolate cupcakes for … [Read more...]

Good Bye Decade of my Twenties

December 31, 2009 By LaVonne

I cannot believe that the end of a decade is coming upon us. Time keeps flying by me, and as I get older it is going faster. (In my mind I still feel so young. I did spend most of my twenties in this decade.) So here is a short (well at least I tried to keep it short) recap of the decade. I got this great idea from Rachel at Musings of a Future Pastor's Wife.2000 (I was 21 when this year began.)Husband and I publically gave our life to God in front of church. He was baptized as I stood beside … [Read more...]
