During lunch, for the first time, my Princess used baby sign language to sign the word "thank you" without being asked to. She wanted one of my chips so I gave her a piece of the chip and she signed thank you. I was so happy and praised her abundantly. I am so glad she can communicate more easily now. Sign language has helped us. Do you use Baby Sign Language? The mirror has become an attraction for my little girl as well. Today, she looked at herself in our full-length mirror said her … [Read more...]
Teeth and Toys
Well this week we noticed that our Princess is getting two more teeth. We assumed this was the case when all her shirts were soaking wet from all the drool. She hasn't been sleeping well, and she has been even biting on her fingers. One tooth on each side, I think they are the molars. She already has four on top and four on bottom. Man, time is just flying by and she is becoming quite the BIG girl.Favorite toy of last week: a bag of Lifesavers. Each lifesaver is individually wrapped. She likes … [Read more...]
Perfect Pushup
This week, my Princess loves the Perfect Pushup. She is so cute. I know I keep saying that. I know I am biased. But it is true. Tonight while daddy was doing his perfect push ups, she wanted to try too. So she held on to one handle and bent into it like a pushup and even made a grunting noise like daddy. We laughed so hard. I love this little girl. Of course, once I got up to get the camera, she was more interested in the camera than the perfect push up. … [Read more...]
Skype Me
Well, last night Grandpa called us on Skype. We both have accounts and cameras on our laptops. So we can talk and see each other. (Of course, we didn't start this until after Isabella was born. Grandpa and Grandma really love that girl!) Normally Isabella doesn't want to sit on my lap, won't sit still, and mainly tries to hit any key on the keyboard. Not last night though. She wanted to touch the screen and "touch" grandpa's face. She waved hi, said hi, and when Grandpa's connection kept failing … [Read more...]
Can’t You Give Me That Camera? PLEASE!
It is getting more difficult to take pictures of Isabella. She always wants the camera. She also knows when a picture is taken and wants to see each picture - push the forward button, and go through the pictures over and over. Is it possible for a 14 month old baby to have a stronger will than me? And why is it always just easier to give in? … [Read more...]
Late Night Blogging Part 2
I am trying to catch up on my scrapbook. I have only finished through April of 2008. So tonight I worked on it for a little bit. Isabella had other plans though. She wanted to look at all the pages. She loves pictures, especially when she recognizes the people. Tonight she recognized Grandpa and Grandma from a page I did from March 2008 - their 30th anniversary page. So I told her that it was Grandpa and Grandma and she leaned down and kissed the picture of them holding her. How … [Read more...]
Real Agape Feast
Last night we had an Agape Feast/Communion Service for the AFCOE students. Isabella actually did pretty good, plus it is always nice when the students want to help by holding her. During supper, she was practicing her agape feast skills by feeding her little baby (who does not wear clothes by mandate of Isabella). "Baby" enjoyed grapes just as much as Isabella. And when she got thirsty, Isabella, the good little mommy, was right there ready to give her a drink of her water. … [Read more...]
