Teeth and Toys

March 2, 2009 By LaVonne

Spread the love

Well this week we noticed that our Princess is getting two more teeth. We assumed this was the case when all her shirts were soaking wet from all the drool. She hasn’t been sleeping well, and she has been even biting on her fingers. One tooth on each side, I think they are the molars. She already has four on top and four on bottom. Man, time is just flying by and she is becoming quite the BIG girl.

Favorite toy of last week: a bag of Lifesavers. Each lifesaver is individually wrapped. She likes to dump the bag out then divvy them up between three popcorn bowls. Then she proceeds to put them back in the bag one by one and repeat the process over again. She played with it every day. When I would put them back in the baby proof cupboard she would band on the door and want them back out. Never, I mean never spend a lot of money on toys. Children will play with things that cost nothing or are free. (As were the case with the bag of lifesavers, free after double coupon week.)

So, since we spend much of our time at home, Isabella does not always get to play with other children. Only at church. This weekend we were in the mother’s room during daddy’s sermon and she played with a 19month old. (Who was the same height as her, but much skinnier.) She did NOT want to share any of the toys with this little girl. Even is she wasn’t playing with it, once the little girl started to touch it she ran over to her and tried to take it. She would shake her head no even. I never saw her act that way. At home she loves to share with mommy and daddy. It was a new experience to see. I realize we need to have more playdates with other children so she can learn to interact with other kids in a nice manner.
