We played and learned with Playskool as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars. This Thanksgiving we are taking a multigenerational family vacation to Florida. We'll be spending a week in Key West and then spend three days in Daytona Beach. During the time we are in Daytona Beach I am going to take the kids up to Disney World. We are all pretty excited about the vacation this year. Are you taking a family vacation soon? If so, where will you be heading? Flying with Kids: Tips and … [Read more...]
Family Packing Tips
We were home from Northern California for two days and now we are off again. This time on a flight to Arkansas. Yes, we will be in Arkansas for the next month and I am pretty excited. We are living in a furnished apartment downtown with cable television and wi-fi. We will have nice weather when we arrive and I am looking forward to Spring sunshine! After unpacking, going through our mail and repacking for the hundreth time (or so it seems) I thought it was time I posted a list of family … [Read more...]
Are You a Human?
As my Princess gets closer to four years old, it is funny to have conversations with her. She is learning well how to explaining herself, arguing her case, and just communicating more effectively. On our way to Oklahoma we had to take a smaller plane from Denver to Tulsa. The rows only had 2 seats on either side of the aisle. The Princess choose to sit by daddy, who can play games with her and not get airsick. (Plus, I am pregnant and even sicker!) A stranger, of course, sat next to me. To … [Read more...]
Flight Delay
On our flight home from California, my husband and I had a delay.I hate delays!I am thankful that the Sacramento airport has free wi-fi. That makes a delay much more manageable.I began to want junk food. You know, eat to kill time. Bad habit of mine. So I went into the small newspaper and snack shop where everything costs a small fortune. And I found a new favorite:Popchips in BBQ flavor. One serving is only 120 calories! That works for me! They taste fabulous. My husband did not want any of … [Read more...]
Airplane Maid
I have such a great husband. Truly, I do. I am blessed. I have wrote about him before, here and here. (Read those posts if you want to be green with envy.) On the airplane back to Washington, he was the one who took our Princess to the bathroom. And you all know how small those bathrooms are. I will let you in on a secret: my Princess loves the airplane bathrooms. She gets in there and says first thing, “This is my size.” My husband being the germophobe he is, will … [Read more...]
We Arrived Safely
I have finally got hooked up to internet after being here for four days. I have been keeping a journal of sorts on my computer though. So I thought I would post the first entry entitled Flight. We decided to leave early for LA so we would not have to sit in the dreaded traffic. We went to the Santa Monica Pier. It was a nice place for us to kill some time. It was chilly on the water, but we walked around quite comfortably. We even saw some church members from our area that recognized us. The best … [Read more...]
Sick and Tired
Isabella and I flew back home by ourselves on Sunday. I don't look forward to flying alone with her again! We go back to Washington next month for a planned visit before Thanksgiving and we are flying alone again. Yeah (sarcastically)!!!Usually she sleeps on the airplane when we fly. This time I struggled with her for an hour. She was not happy and all she wanted to do was bother the man beside us - who was sleeping! But praise God, when we boarded the plane, there was a woman in 10F, our … [Read more...]
