So, we keep going grocery shopping with Isbabella. I don't know why. Do we love misery? Do we want to torture ourselves? Our princess hates to sit in the cart, and screams for everything on the shelf. I give her random things to play with, which she gets tired of and throws on the ground. I feel like everyone is looking at us, which they probably are not. After a while Tyler my wonderful husband decides to just take her and go play next door at Ross. I then hurry as fast as I can … [Read more...]
Toddler Snacks
Here are the things we love this week: Mommy loves: Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Cleaning Gel. I belong to BzzAgent and one of my recent campaigns included this Toilet Wand that dispenses the gel. It is like a toilet sticker, and I love stickers! It has lasted almost two weeks (it says it lasts about 1 week) and each time I flush the toilet a fresh scent of clean wafts up in the air. I have noticed that I don't have to clean the toilet as often but it does not do a great job at keeping it clean. If … [Read more...]
Good News
Christian MySpace GraphicsWe got a email today from Wes' wife, Marion. She titled her email "Good News". In it she gave us an update: today Wes actually got up today out of bed and sat in a chair for 20 minutes! The last couple days, he has been confined to a bed with very little movement. The doctors also got most of the infection in his leg and lungs drained. The email ended with these last two sentences:"Obviously, he still has a long way to go & is not well by any means, but I am just … [Read more...]
Boogers, Tears, and Sleepless Nights
My princess is sick. Not too bad - low grade fever, runny nose, sneezing, and wants to cuddle a lot. She is having a hard time sleeping with her stuffy nose though. Which means mommy has a hard time sleeping too.So yesterday I was reading the newest Parenting magazine and it says, "One thing you never thought you would do as a mother..." then it gives some answers.Right away my answer was, "Wipe my baby's nose with the underside of my own shirt when I was too lazy to get more tissue!"Gross!!!! … [Read more...]
My Little Manipulator
Yesterday afternoon and this afternoon Isabella did something that I never taught her. Yesterday, she grabbed her diaper rash creme and handed it to me. Then she made a kissy face, puckering her lips very dramatically, VERY CUTE. So I gave her a kiss. She then proceeded to sign "more", which means "Open this mommy". I hugged her but said no.Then today she brought me a lifesaver, that was wrapped in its own plastic. She did the same thing. Somehow she has learned that maybe if "I butter mommy up … [Read more...]
I’m Going Crazy. Would you like to come?
I got that line from John and Kate Plus Eight, and thought it was funny. Seriously though, I may possibly be going crazy. The last two days, Isabella has been screaming, constantly. So yesterday at lunch, I screamed too. (I know, I know, I am probably just perpetuating the behavior, but I couldn't help it. Her screaming was just about the most annoying noise I could handle at the time.) So she stopped screaming, looked at mommy with a frown (she has started making these crazy frown faces), and … [Read more...]
Teeth and Toys
Well this week we noticed that our Princess is getting two more teeth. We assumed this was the case when all her shirts were soaking wet from all the drool. She hasn't been sleeping well, and she has been even biting on her fingers. One tooth on each side, I think they are the molars. She already has four on top and four on bottom. Man, time is just flying by and she is becoming quite the BIG girl.Favorite toy of last week: a bag of Lifesavers. Each lifesaver is individually wrapped. She likes … [Read more...]
