Potty training is an exciting time for toddlers and it can also be a stressful time for parents. We are in the very long process of potty training out two year old. I am constantly amazed at the difference between my daughter and my son. My daughter, by this age, wanted to be a big girl and start wearing underwear. My son? He could care less about being in diapers still. Now that we've transitioned to training pants, he still doesn't show much interest in going to the bathroom on our … [Read more...]
First Time at the Roller Skating Rink
I haven't given an update on how my school has been going for my Princess. I was nervous about quitting homeschooling, but of course by the end of the first day, she was a pro. She made friends with all her classmates, and by the end of the first week, her teacher told us that it was like she was there the whole year. We are busy with this school. She has field trips and after school programs. She loves it. I am already feeling tired. It seems like just yesterday she was riding trikes and now … [Read more...]

Then at the last minute my parents, sister and … [Read more...]
He’s Graduated to a Booster Seat!
Gone are the days of the high chair. Where is time going? We kept him in his high chair for a bit longer than we probably needed to. But honestly, we didn't have a booster seat for him and we weren't sitting at our kitchen table with him. Now, we've cleaned up our kitchen table and he has a new booster seat. And he LOVES it! (Does your kitchen table become a mess of papers, books, puzzles, and art supplies like mine? It's hard to keep up with it!) The kids love eating at the dinner … [Read more...]
What age did you let your daughter wear makeup?
My daughter loves play makeup. Absolutely loves it. She plays dress up almost daily and I find her makeup not only all over her face, but usually her brother's face too. I won't embarrass him in the future with blog pictures of that. Sorry, I know you'd all love to see her makeup application skills on my Little Man. There has been more than one occasion that she has tried to sneak out of the house wearing her play makeup. {I did that too, but I think I was a bit older...} We always catch it … [Read more...]
