I just got my email invitation to our church Women's Ministry Spring Day. We get to hear a great female speaker minister to us and worship together for an entire day. I look forward to it every year. Now that my kids are getting older, I am excited to take advantage of women's ministry events near me. Are you involved in your local women's ministry? I think women's ministry is so important. As women, it is not unusual to put ourselves last. Our husbands, our kids, our church, our friends - they … [Read more...]
Easy Valentine’s Day Cards with Hallmark
This year for Valentine's Day we are giving out non-candy Valentine's cards. One girl in my Princess' class is diabetic and so we thought to be fair to her, we'd give out Valentine's Day themed pencils with her cards. There are many handmade Valentine's Day cards to be found online - and they are all so cute. But, to be honest, it is easier for me at this point in my life, to buy Valentine's Day cards for my Princess' class. I have two people in mind right now that I want to send Happy New Year's cards to. I don't need to order a large amount and thankfully I have an awesome printer that … [Read more...]
10 Things I Want to Crochet (One Day…)
I pulled out my yarn and Crochet Hooks this weekend. I'd like to start crocheting again. When you don't do it regularly, you forget the stitches. I had to print out a free PDF to visually see the stitches and I just practiced, pulled it apart, and practiced more. I have grand ideas for all the crochet projects I'd like to make this winter. This past summer my mom and I worked on a blanket for my Princess. I only made about 10 granny squares and my mom whipped out about 10x for the throw … [Read more...]
