Do Your Kids Play Soccer?

My daughter loved playing soccer last fall for our local school district. She had a great time and she did very well. We were still homeschooling her at that time. It was good for her to make new friends and get out of her comfort zone. She scored a few goals and got great exercise. This summer we are thinking about putting her into soccer camp. Have your kids gone to a soccer camp before? British Soccer Camp British Soccer Camp is the most popular camp in North America. You will find … [Read more...]

Five Ways We Spend Less Each Month

I have written about financial topics on the blog a few times the past year. What many of you might not know is that my husband, who has his MBA, loves anything that has to do with finances and saving. He is a bit known, in our circles, as a cheapskate. But honestly, he isn't cheap, he is very smart with money. I am thankful to be married to him. We have a great savings account, own our home and vehicles, and we are maximizing our retirement plans and college savings accounts for the kids. This … [Read more...]

8 Things You Can Do For World Water Day

You know that water is a necessary resource for us all to be alive, right? Sadly,  748 million people lack access to clean water! {That number is the equivalent of nearly two and a half times the United States population.} That should break your heart. It breaks mine. To address this crisis and to acknowledge water’s essential presence on the earth, the United Nations General Assembly declared March 22 as World Water Day in 1993. [Tweet "A child dies every minute from diarrhea caused by … [Read more...]

He's Graduated to a Booster Seat!

Gone are the days of the high chair. Where is time going? We kept him in his high chair for a bit longer than we probably needed to. But honestly, we didn't have a booster seat for him and we weren't sitting at our kitchen table with him. Now, we've cleaned up our kitchen table and he has a new booster seat. And he LOVES it! (Does your kitchen table become a mess of papers, books, puzzles, and art supplies like mine? It's hard to keep up with it!) The kids love eating at the dinner … [Read more...]

How You Can Be a Confident Mom

I can honestly say I've never felt super confident in this role of mother. I didn't think I had it before I was a mom and now that I am actally a mom to two kids, I certainly don't feel very confident. That is why, The Confident Mom, from Joyce Meyer is a timely book for me to read. Even I can regain lost hope and assurance in motherhood! [Tweet "Insecurity saps our faith. #TheConfidentMom"] Matthew 19: 26 says that "with God all things are possible." As mothers we must put all confidence … [Read more...]

How You Can Help Pregnant Moms Around the World

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central and Kangu. I received a promotional item to thank me for my participation. I have been blessed to have two healthy babies. My birth stories were positive and my medical care was top-notch with both of my babies. I realize how blessed I am to live here in the US, have great medical insurance, and have healthy kids. I know that many people in our country and around the world do not have this same luxury. In fact, … [Read more...]
