Three kids in my daughter's small private school class are sick. One was confirmed to have strep throat. So when, my Princess woke up with a cough and sore throat, I was worried. I kept her home from school, called our local health clinic, and brought her in. Thankfully, she did not have strep throat, it was simply a virus. Her doctor told us that as long as she didn't have a fever, diarrhea or vomiting, she could go to school. The doctor's orders? Keep her hydrated. That's it. Plain and … [Read more...]

Awesome Christian Easter Basket Ideas
My kids both love Easter. In fact, they've been playing with last year's plastic Easter eggs at their Papa and Nana's house the last couple weeks. I don't want them to think that Easter is all about plastic eggs, candy, and baskets full of silly toys. Each Easter I like to give them items the celebrate the true meaning of Easter -- Jesus Christ and His great love for us. I want them to celebrate … [Read more...]

She has field trips and after school programs. She loves it. I am already feeling tired. It seems like just yesterday she was riding trikes and now … [Read more...]

Planning Family Travel? Here are the Must Haves!
We have a few trips planned this year with our kids. As they are getting older, my Little Man is almost three, traveling is getting a little easier for us. Now that my Princess is in school, we can't up and leave as easily as we did before when she was homeschooled. So this summer we have three trips already planned to San Diego, California, Eastern Washington and Lincoln City, Oregon. It looks like we will be adding Tofino, British Columbia to our summer travel list as well. With our … [Read more...]
