I am happy that all our rooms inside our new house are painted. I love my husband, who literally painted 95% of the house. I did help him prep the walls and took the Princess away during the painting time. Our home is beautiful and he really has become a professional painter. I need to upload more photos soon.Today, we scored on sales. Target started their 75% off toy sale. We spent a little under $100 but got LOTS of presents for birthdays and Christmas this year. Then, Old Navy started their … [Read more...]
Little Mama
This week my Princess really LOVES her dolls. She wants them to go on walks, in the car, in the shopping cart - everywhere she goes. I have to buckle her in the shopping cart together.Yesterday the dolly helped us with our animal puzzle a few times ('cause you know kids always want to do things over and over an over...). She carries the bigger one around in a "wrap" I made from my scarf. She even feeds them! When she wanted diapers on both of them last night I realized that I needed some more doll … [Read more...]
Teeth and Toys
Well this week we noticed that our Princess is getting two more teeth. We assumed this was the case when all her shirts were soaking wet from all the drool. She hasn't been sleeping well, and she has been even biting on her fingers. One tooth on each side, I think they are the molars. She already has four on top and four on bottom. Man, time is just flying by and she is becoming quite the BIG girl.Favorite toy of last week: a bag of Lifesavers. Each lifesaver is individually wrapped. She likes … [Read more...]
Real Agape Feast
Last night we had an Agape Feast/Communion Service for the AFCOE students. Isabella actually did pretty good, plus it is always nice when the students want to help by holding her. During supper, she was practicing her agape feast skills by feeding her little baby (who does not wear clothes by mandate of Isabella). "Baby" enjoyed grapes just as much as Isabella. And when she got thirsty, Isabella, the good little mommy, was right there ready to give her a drink of her water. … [Read more...]
My Little Maid
Isabella is starting to want to help clean. She has been obsessed with the dishwasher for over a month now but usually she is trying to take things out instead of load it. She also loves when I do laundry. When I throw things in the dryer from the washing machine I purposely put socks or her clothes on the door of the dryer so she can throw them in too. She loves it. Now if I can just get her to stop unfolding the laundry when it is done. This week I caught her trying to clean her toy. She had my … [Read more...]
Isabella’s Top 10
(in no particular order)1. Cheerios and Spaghetti - she is going through this stage where she doesn't want anything but cheerios and shaghetti. Even things she used to love - like bananas - are passed on by. (Oh, and she will always eat a little of mommy's soy ice cream at night or popcorn.)2. Throw Your Hands in the Air - is a game that her and daddy play every day. He puts her on his shoulders and he sings, "throw your hands in the air, and wave them like you just don't care", and she sings … [Read more...]
Step Aside Tiger Woods
Much to the delight of grandpa and daddy, Isabella has wanted her new golf set two mornings in a row. It has been behind her other toys against the wall, so she cannot grab it. So both mornings she has whined for it, and once I grabbed it and took out the plastic golf balls, she happily hits away at them with the blue putter...Step Aside Tiger Woods! Here Comes I.B. Long*!(*Grandpa's golf name for Isabella.) … [Read more...]
