How Do You Get Protein After Working Out?
We have amazing health insurance. Through our insurance we were able to join our local YMCA for $25 per month and no initiation fee. How can I not do it? I love classes (can you say Zumba, Pilates and water aerobics?) and my kids absolutely love the pool. The hubster lifts weights and does the eliptical 4-5 days a week in the morning. When my hubby gets home to the RV, while I am barely waking up, he likes to have a protein shake. Swears by it, in fact. So when I had the chance to review the … [Read more...]
Mommy Time IS NOT Easy But It Is Essential
I am blessed with an amazing husband and two awesome kids. But there are days I feel like I just don't like them. I mean, I love them more than my life, but some days liking them isn't as easy. Am I the only one who feels like this? I don't think I am. Since we travel on the road together for my husband's job, our time spent together is 24/7 most of the year. Everyday Adventure: Spokane, Washington
When my parents were heading East to Spokane Washington this week for some business meetings, my kids and I decided to hitch a ride and tag a long with them. Spokane, Washington has some great family fun ideas. Though it rained our first day, we had beautiful sunshine the second day and we took advantage of it. My only goal … [Read more...]
Refueling at the End of the Day
Thank you Quaker for sponsoring today's discussion. A mom's life is always busy. We travel so much and stay quite busy it seems like life is flying by. Does it ever feel like life is going by too fast for you? When we are home finally, there is always so much to do, I can't seem to catch up. This week since we arrived home from Arkansas, life has been hectic. With taxes, USPS mail, boxes from FedEx and UPS, house clean up, laundry, visiting family and friends, blog catch up, and normal … [Read more...]
Heart Disease Prevention
My husband has heart disease in his family. I will admit that he is the healthy one in our marriage. Because of his family history of heart disease, he watches what he eats, exercises, and eats steel cut oatmeal every morning. But did you know that more women die of heart disease than men? It is true. So eating a heart healthy diet and exercise is important for me in heart disease prevention as well. American Heart Month February is Heart Health Month and during this special time, Quaker is … [Read more...]
