Mommy Time IS NOT Easy But It Is Essential

June 17, 2013 By LaVonne

Spread the love

I am blessed with an amazing husband and two awesome kids. But there are days I feel like I just don’t like them. I mean, I love them more than my life, but some days liking them isn’t as easy.

Am I the only one who feels like this?

I don’t think I am.

Since we travel on the road together for my husband’s job, our time spent together is 24/7 most of the year. It is essential for me to set aside a bit of time each day that is just mine. Mommy Time I like to call it.

When do you take advantage of Mommy Time?

Is it before the kids get up? My son wakes up at 6 am every day. EVERY DAY. So mommy time does not happen here in the morning.

Is your Mommy Time during naptime? Sometimes, I do take advantage of nap time. But, since my oldest is no longer taking naps, I don’t get Mommy Time during nap time very often.

Or maybe, like me, Mommy Time is after the kids go to bed? I am thankful that though my Little Man gets up at 6 am each day, he does go to bed at 7 pm each night and my Princess goes soon after that.

It is at night that I carve out a bit of time for me. I like to relax, watch TV, catch up on my blog, and have a nice snack like Quaker® Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Quaker® Chocolate Chip Cookies are tasty fuel to help get you going. Made with whole grain Quaker oats, Quaker® Chocolate Chip Cookies have the power of Quaker in a delicious cookie.

That little bit of me time allows me to make it through some rough days as a stay at home parent.

How do you carve out time for yourself?

Connect With Quaker® on Facebook and Twitter.

Quaker® Chocolate Chip Cookies allow me to be indulgent while still providing the power of Quaker® oats to fuel me for whatever the rest of the day might hold.

Share how celebrate your me-time and go to Everyday Health for more fun stories.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Quaker®. The opinions and text are all mine.

I could really use some ME time during the day. My only time lately is when my baby sleep at night.

That is my only time right now too Jade. So I am up too late right now getting caught up on blog stuff 😉

Yep, night time for me right now but I so want to change that! I sccomplish so much more early in the morning so I want to really try to get up super early like I use to but with expecting our 3.0 in about 7 weeks I am not sure it will happen right now.

Mommy time is totally needed for sanity and no you are not the only one, we all need even a few minutes a day!
